Mario Kart 8: new update available (Ver. 4.1)

Last week, Nintendo released a major update for Mario Kart 8, adding a brand new class (200cc). But to play it, you first have to unlock it by getting a gold trophy for all the cups in 150cc… well, not anymore!

Today, Nintendo released another update for Mario Kart 8 (much smaller). The main change is about Mirror Mode and the 200cc class: starting with version 4.1, you don’t need to unlock them anymore. That’s right: those two classes are now available straight from the start! And of course, this update includes the usual changes meant to improve the gameplay experience, which are not detailed in the official changelog.

To download this new update, you have two options:

– let the console download and install it automatically, provided you have activated that feature;
– launch the game from the Main Menu and let the console download and install the update automatically.

To check if you have the latest version of Mario Kart 8 (Ver. 4.1), simply launch the game. You should see this in the bottom left corner of the screen:
