Senran Kagura news (Aug. 1) – Shinobi Refle -Senran Kagura- / Peach Ball Senran Kagura

Today, Marvelous livestreamed a special presentation entirely dedicated to the Senran Kagura. A couple of games were announced, with one coming to the Nintendo Switch: Peach Ball Senran Kagura. We also got to see some actual gameplay footage for Shinobi Refle -Senran Kagura!

Shinobi Refle -Senran Kagura-

First teased at the Nintendo Direct presentation, back in April, Shinobi Refle -Senran Kagura- was finally showcased during today’s livestream. For those who missed the initial announcement, this game isn’t the typical action game. Instead, it’s an adventure game where you get to be pretty… initimate with Asuka, one of the heroines of the series.

The game makes use of the HD Rumble feature (that Kenichiro Takaki, the producer of the series, is quite fond of). It allows you to really feel Asuka’s hands in “yours”, but also other… “things”.

The footage revealed today shows various “mini-games” (for lack of a better term), where you get to take care of Asuka by giving her a massage (using motion controls) for example. It’s definitely the kind of experience only Kenichiro Takaki can come up with!

By the way, the official genre of the game is “Big Breasts Throbbing Chronicles”.

First, here’s the opening movie for the game:

And here’s some gameplay footage:

Shinobi Refle -Senran Kagura- will be released in Japan this year, only on the Nintendo eShop of the Nintendo Switch (where it will be sold 1 000 Yen). Right now, it’s not clear whether this game will be released outside Japan or not. The Upcoming Releases page has been updated!

Peach Ball Senran Kagura

During the livestream, another spin-off game was announced for the Nintendo Switch: Peach Ball Senran Kagura. The official genre is “Big Breasts Hyper Pinball”, in other words, a pinball game featuring the various girls from the series. Very little is known about the game, which wasn’t showcased during the livestream.

All we know so far is that… it will be released on the Nintendo Switch. It’s also highly likely to use HD Rumble, due to Kenichiro Takaki really liking that feature, but also because rumble and pinball really go on well together. Naturally, we can expect the various heroines to mysteriously lose their clothes during gameplay.

Peach Ball Senran Kagura (Switch) doesn’t have a release date (or even window) yet, but it’s already been added to the Upcoming Releases page!

Senran Kagura 5th Anniversary

Finally, here’s one last video, which is a retrospective of all the games in the series, that first appeared in 2011 on Nintendo 3DS!
