Yesterday, Niantic shared some more details about the upcoming Community Day for Pokémon GO (taking place on June 16th), and more precisely the special Pupitar you can get thanks to it. If you evolve it into Tyranitar during the event, or take part in a Tyranitar raid, then your Tyranitar will know the Fast Move Smack Down.

Snapchat
Yesterday, the 3rd and final Snapchat filter released as part of the Pokémon 21st Anniversary celebrations went live. This one is based on Squirtle. Again, it’s not clear how long it will remain available.
Here’s a video clip showing the filter in action:

Pokémon TCG
Earlier this week, a mysterious trademark for Pokémon emerged in Japan: Ultra Shiny. It wasn’t clear what this new trademark was for, and many wondered if it was somehow tied to the Pokémon game on Nintendo Switch (that was before Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Eevee! was revealed). And it turns out Ultra Shiny is actually the name of a TCG set to be released on November 22nd in Japan. It will include over 150 cards.

Pokémon Stand
Last week, The Pokémon Company revealed Pokémon Stand: a vending machine offering various bits of Pokémon merchandise normally sold at Pokémon Center stores across Japan, that are to be rolled out across the country.
What’s interesting about those vending machines is that they also serve as Gyms in Pokémon GO, complete with Raid Battles, from June 15th. What’s more, with every purchase, you can get a Serial Code for Rotom Powers, in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon… a neat little bonus!
