Hyrule Warriors Legends: screenshots for Skull Kid and Phantom Ganon

Hyrule Warriors LegendsThis week, Koei-Tecmo revealed two new characters for Hyrule Warriors Legends (via Famitsu and the official website): Skull Kid (playable) and Phantom Ganon (Boss). There’s also details about a new gameplay mechanic called Smash Boost Power, which triggers when you fight bosses, along with a new stage based on the Wind and Earth Temples from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

And today, Koei-Tecmo has shared some additional screenshots for the new characters, stage and gameplay mechanic. They allow us to see some more of Skull Kid’s attack: a giant ball of evil energy, and a laser shot from the eyes of the Majora’s Mask. As for Phantom Ganon, he’s able to teleport everywhere, in order to confuse his enemies.

Of course, all this content will also be added to Hyrule Warriors on Wii U: it will be free to players who buy Hyrule Warriors Legends on Nintendo 3DS.

Here’s the latest batch of screenshots for Hyrule Warriors Legends:

Hyrule Warriors Legends (3DS) comes out on January 21st in Japan, and in early 2016 in Europe and North America.
