  • Azure Striker Gunvolt: Designing Gunvolt (Part 1)
  • Mercenaries Saga 3
  • Nintendo eShop – Upcoming games

BitSummit

BitSummit is a Japanese event entirely dedicated to Indie games, focusing specifically on those created in Japan. This year’s edition was quite successful, with 6 435 visitors and almost 450 000 viewers for the various livestreams.

Naturally, there will be another BitSummit next year, and it will be called A 5th of Bit Summit. But unlike last year, it will take place a bit earlier: on May 20-21st. Exhibitor applications are now open, and if you need more details, click here to check out the official website!

Azure Striker Gunvolt: Designing Gunvolt (Part 1)

Interested in learning more about the development of the first Azure Striker Gunvolt? If yes, you’re in luck: Yacht Club Games has just shared an English translation of Designing Gunvolt, a pretty lenghty article written by Hiroki Miyzawa from Inti Creates.

It details how the team decided to create a “cool protagonist”, and decided to make him “totally awesome”. It also explains how the team came up with the Tag ‘n Zap mechanic, Prevasion and the Flashfield, and more.
