[E3 2016] Monster Hunter Generations: new trailer, demo, save data bonus, more

Monster Hunter GenerationsIn Monster Hunter Generations, you will get to hunt some extremely ferocious monsters. But there’s nothing more ferocious than the Deviant Monsters: monsters who have never been hunted, and so have evolved and become even more deadly.

The trailer revealed today showcases the Thunderlord Zinogre, the Dreadking Rathalos, the Silverwind Nargacuga and the Grimclaw Tigrex. Of course, there’s more Deviant Monsters in the game, such as the Dreadqueen Rathian: her deadly poisonous attacks are to be avoided at all costs!

Dying to try out Monster Hunter Generations? You will be able to do so pretty soon if you live in North America… and right now if you live in Europe! Here’s when the demo version goes live:

  • Europe: what are you waiting for? Click here, connect to your Nintendo Account, and tadam!
  • North America: June 30th. But you can get it early from Nintendo: check out your email address to see if you haven’t received mail with two download codes (one for your, one for your friend!). Alternatively, you can get a download code if you buy the E3 2016 Digital Ticket, and pay at least $4.

But what does the demo for Monster Hunter Generations includes?

  • 3 main quests (Hunt a Great Maccao, Hunt a Malfestio, Hunt a Nargacuga), playable in solo or co-op (including online)
  • selection of basic tutorials for newcomers
  • all 14 weapon types
  • all 4 Hunting Styles
  • Prowler mode

According to Capcom, there’s 57 different ways to play this demo (by mixing the various weapon types and Hunting Styles). Since Monster Hunter Generations is all about providing players with a customised hunting experience, this demo will be a great way to see how true that statement really is. And don’t be afraid to try many different things: there’s no play limits!
