Pokémon GO

Earlier this week, another event for Pokémon GO went live: the Battle Showdown. Until May 14th, Fighting type Pokémon such as Machop and Makuhita are appearing more frequently in the wild: the perfect occasion for you to complete your Pokédex! There’s also been reports of Shiny Makuhita and Shiny Meditite, so keep an eye out for those two Pokémon!

But that’s not all: during the event, you can get 2x bonus XP for Gym Battles and Raid Battles. The latter also net you 3 000 Stardust simply for participating (you will also get at least one Rare Candy if you happen to win). Also, several actions at Gyms award various bonuses (such as 2x Badge multiplier), and spinning the Photo Disc at Gyms will yield more items.

Finally, some special boxes are available for purchase in the store:

  • Special Box (480 Coins): 2 Lucky Egg, 6 Premium Raid Passes, 2 Star Pieces
  • Great Box (780 Coins): 6 Lucky Egg, 5 Max Potion, 9 Premium Raid Passes, 6 Star Pieces
  • Ultra Box (1480 Coins): 4 Super Incubators, 15 Lucky Eggs, 15 Premium Raid Passes, 15 Star Pieces

Speaking of Pokémon GO, a new batch of Field Research tasks is now available. Clear those new tasks focused on Flying and Electric type Pokémon, and you will be able to meet Zapdos!
