Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice launching on October 27 in Japan, boxart, 3DS Theme, screens

Sonic Boom 2Shortly after the announcement of Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, last year, SEGA confirmed that the game would indeed be released in Japan (where it’s called Sonic Toon: Fire & Ice). Naturally, it was also delayed in that region, and today, SEGA finally revealed the new launch date: October 27th (roughly one month after Europe and North America).

SEGA also announced that players who purchase the game will receive an exclusive Nintendo 3DS Theme. This is a Sonic the Hedgehog 25th Anniversary theme, and it features both Classic and Modern Sonic.

Next, here’s the Japanese boxart for the game:

Finally, here’s some screenshots from the game (including a couple from Amazon):

Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice (3DS) comes out on September 27th in North America, September 30th in Europe, and October 27th in Japan. Our Upcoming Releases page has been updated!
