Osomatsu-san Matsumatsuri announced for the 3DS, getting N3DS bundle
Osomatsu-san is the name of a popular anime series (originally based on an old manga from 1965), which has become somewhat of a cultural phenomenom in Japan. Naturally, it was bound to get a video game adaptation… in fact, it’s already got several! But we haven’t talked about them for a good reason: none of them was for a Nintendo platform.
But it changed today, with the announcement of Osomatsu-san Matsumatsuri for the Nintendo 3DS. Developed by Bandai-Namco, it will feature mini-games and various popular (voiced) scenes from the anime series (over 100).
You can collect various backgrounds, illustrations, voice tracks, etc., and then create a card that you can share with other players via StreetPass. The game will also include extra features such as a calculator and a clock (with an Osomatsu-san theme, obviously).
Osomatsu-san Matsumatsuri will be released on December 22nd, and will get several editions:
- regular (4 800 Yen) (early purchase bonus: badges)
- regular digital (4 320 Yen until January 17th, then 4 800 Yen)
- Limited Edition (6 800 Yen) (early purchase bonus: badges)
In fact, there’s also a second Limited Edition, but it will only be available at animate stores. This special Limited Edition includes the following:
- a copy of the game
- a New Nintendo 3DS console
- a set of Osomatsu-san cover plates
- a set of badges
- a surprise (will most likely be revealed at a later date)
