Monster Hunter X: details about the Tamamitsune, more screens

Tamamitsune Monster Hunter XThis week, Monster Hunter X is featured in Famitsu magazine with some additional details and screenshots for the Nyanter Mode, new monsters, and more. Today, Capcom has revealed some additional screenshots for the game, which are not all completely new… but they are of higher quality, and watermark-free to boot!

The screenshots below focus on the Nyanter Mode (click here for more details about it), as well as the Tamamitsune (which is one of the four main monsters of the game). We also see a new field called “Keiryuu” (literally: Mountain stream), with lots of greenery.

The Tamamitsune is described as a really agile monster, who can use foam to hinder the movements of its preys (he makes it by rubbing a special liquid it secretes against its mane). It can use an attack called “Water Breath” (“Mizu Breath” in Japanese): if you get hit by it, you will get a new status ailment. Basically, your body is entirely covered in foam, which makes you all slippery: therefore, you really need to avoid this attack if you don’t want to get into trouble.

Here’s the latest screenshots for Monster Hunter X:

Monster Hunter X (3DS) comes out on November 28th in Japan.
