SteamWorld Heist: results of the SteamWorld Ambassador Challenge #9

SteamWorld Heist comes out later this year on Nintendo 3DS (then later on Wii U), but if you’re interested, you can play the game before everyone else. To do so, you simply have to become a SteamWorld Ambassador. How to become one? Well, it’s quite simple: you just need to win one of Image & Form’s challenges!

And for the SteamWorld Ambassador Challenge #9, Image & Form decided to focus on the one, true hero of SteamWorld Heist… Billy Gill! Fans had to come up with a plausible backstory for this character, and as always, the team really had trouble picking up a winner. In the end, they went with “Aboard the Titanium” by jmaster2710.

Fans didn’t have to make anything special, but jmaster2710 went a little overboard and made an actual comic strip for Billy Gill’s backstory. However, they still judged all entries on an equal footing, and didn’t just favour this one because it was a comic. The reason this entry won is because it’s concise, and contains a rather nice twist!

jmaster2710 is now the latest SteamWorld Ambassador, which means they will get access to:

– exclusive info before launch;
– download codes for the game (before launch).
