Octodad: Deadliest Catch – Release date and price confirmed

Earlier this week, we found out via the European Nintendo eShop that the Wii U version of Octodad: Deadliest Catch would come out on October 29th in Europe. And yesterday, Young Horses finally confirmed the news via Twitter: the game will indeed come out next week in both Europe and North America.

The developers also confirmed that the DLC would be included right from the start, which is great news for players who didn’t get to try out the game on other platforms. The Wii U version will have the 4 players co-op mode, which will be playable with “nearly all configuration of Wii / Wii U contollers”. The game will support motion controls.

Unfortunately, there will not be any touchscreen features: the developers were not able to find something that felt “correct” and decided to simply have the screen mirror what’s on your TV.

Finally, Young Horses announced via Twitter that players buying Octodad: Deadliest Catch at launch (during the first two weeks) would be able to get a nice launch discount: -20%. The game will then cost $11.24 / €11.19 / £9.59.
