Renegade Kid

Yesterday, it was announced that Renegade Kid was no more. Its co-foudners, Jools Watsham and Gregg Hargrove, decided to (amicably) part ways. They will keep making games, but at their own companies (Atooi and Infitizmo respectively).

If you want to know why the two friends decided to end an adventure that lasted 10 years, then click here to check out Nintendo’s Life interview of the two creators. They explain how they came to make this difficult decision, but also talk about their favorite memories/achievements at Renegade Kid, and what projects the two of them are now working on.

Ninja Pizza Girl

Ninja Pizza Girl is already available on other platforms, but the Wii U version is still MIA. And in fact, there’s a good reason for that: during lotcheck, an obscure but nasty bug was found out. Fortunately, the bug has already been fixed, though it was already too late to avoid a delay: the Wii U version will now come out a few weeks later than initially planned.

Here’s the message the developers shared on Kickstarter:

Now that Ninja Pizza Girl is safely out on Steam, XBox One and PS4 you might think that we’re all taking a long, well-earned vacation. And as much as we’d like to be doing just that, there can be no rest for the Disparity team while Wii U fans are still sadly Ninja Pizza Girl – less.

We’ve been working with Nintendo through the submission process and they’ve found an obscure but very nasty crash-on-exit bug. The good news is that after many hours of debugging and profanity, the bug has been fixed. The bad news is that the Wii U build is going to be a few weeks later than we’d hoped. We’ll post more information as we get it.

Hang in there Wii U fans – your pizza’s coming!
