  • Fixed issue in level 11 where using the grappling ribbon in a specific spot of the level could cause a softlock.
  • Fixed issue where Bat Boy sometimes would get stuck when running on destructible blocks.
  • Removed flickering effect from the ghosts in the background of level 8.
  • Fixed issue where it was possible to change the screen scaling from the button remapping option in the pause menu.
  • Fixed a couple of issues when remapping keys for keyboard.
  • Fixed issue where, right after finishing the game, going back and fighting the last boss again would cause projectiles not to spawn.
  • Improved control over the batspin. Now, when calling back the bat while in batspin by pressing the attack button, it is easier to bounce on it as it comes back.
  • Other minor fixes.

  • Fixed issue where a healing item in level 9 that would appear only once. Now it is set to respawn if the player dies.
  • Fixed issue where using the bat to bounce on an enemy or a projectile during the same frame Bat Boy starts climbing a ladder would cause the ladder to not work properly.
  • Fixed issue where the last boss sometimes would not perform some attacks after the player has died at least once.
  • Fixed overlapping icons in the Japanese version.
  • Fixed sprite layering issue in level 12.

  • Fixed issue in the training area after clearing level 10 where it was possible to trigger a screen transition to a room where the player is not present.
  • Fixed issue where it was possible to use the “Bouncing Basketball” skill in the last stage at a point where it should not be allowed.

  • Fixed issue in level 8 where entering the wrong door with a key could cause the player to lose that key.
  • Fixed issue where under certain circumstances, one of the enemies in the tutorial area of level 8 would become invincible.
  • Fixed issue where it was possible to go out of bounds in level 10 using an enemy to push you against the wall.
  • Fixed issue where the bull rush skill would stop immediately after starting if the player was very close to a block.
  • Fixed issue where bombs from Moonstar (boss) would damage the player even with the bubble shield
    was active.
  • Fixed issue in level 11 where it was possible to go out of bounds using a ladder with a block on top.
  • Fixed issue where boss of level 2 could go out of screen while dashing.
  • Improved camera movement and a platform length in the minecart section of level 5.

  • Fixed the issue where a mid-boss in the last level could teleport to a random position at the start of the fight.
  • Fixed issue where it was possible to go out of bounds in level 8.
  • Fixed issue in level 9 auto-scroll section where player could spawn out of camera range when squashed.
  • Fixed a very rare issue where after slowing down time with a Time Orb, the game physics would not behave correctly after restoring normal time.
  • Reduced number of bounces made by the tennis ball thrown by the player.

How to download updates for Bat Boy for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Bat Boy, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
