Animal Crossing amiibo cards: only 3 cards per pack in Europe

Next week, on July 30th, Nintendo will launch Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer in Japan. It will come with the very first amiibo cards, and more precisely the first series of Animal Crossing amiibo cards. This series will consist of 100 cards, sold via Booster packs (300 Yen, 3 cards picked up at random). In North America, the booster packs will include 6 cards, but we don’t know the price just yet.

Many assumed that the European booster packs would include 6 cards (like in North America), but it’s not the case. On the European packaging of the booster packs, posted on the official Nintendo Norway website, it clearly indicates that the pack will include 3 cards only (including a special one, most likely shiny).

Unfortunately, there’s still much we don’t know about the amiibo cards outside Japan: what is their price? Will there  bemore than one kind of booster pack for sale? When will the second series of cards be launched in Europe and North America (it’s coming out on September 10th in Japan). No doubt Nintendo will give more details about all this in the upcoming weeks.

The first series of Animal Crossing amiibo cards will be launched on July 30th in Japan, September 25th in North America, and October 2nd in Europe.
