Ace Attorney anime: comments from the voice actors

Following the stage show at the Jump Festa (on December 19-20th), the official webpage for the anime series was opened. There’s nothing really new in there, other than some comments from the main cast. Thanks to our good friends over at Court-Records, we now have a translation for those comments!

Here’s the comments from the main cast of the Ace Attorney anime series:

• Yuuki Kaji (Phoenix Wright): he’s actually played the various games from the Ace Attorney series, but he never once dreamt he would be involved with it, as part of the main cast of an anime series. He’s quite aware that the series has a lot of fans, so he’s going to face this challenge with humility and sincerity. For him, Phoenix Wright is a person who gets things done when they need to, even though he just started as an attorney. It’s that kind of character he’s planning to act as in the anime series.
• Aoi Yuuki (Maya Fey): she’s really excited to see how the Ace Attorney series will turn out. She wants to do her best in order to please not only fans of the series, but also those who will discover the series thanks to the anime.
• Masashi Tamaki (Miles Edgeworth): he’s quite honored to get to play in such an important series. Just like the name it says in his name, he plans to “be sharp as a sword’s edge and fight proudly”.
• Chie Nakamura (Mia Fey): she’s a big fan of the Ace Attorney series. Even though she was pretty happy to learn she would be in the anime series, she also realised that it was also a kind of pressure for her.
• Masami Iwasaki (Dick Gumshoe): he didn’t say much, other than promising to do his best. Here’s what he said: ” I will pull it off! I’ll do my best, pal! I’m all fired up! I’m so excited, I might get a nosebleed, pal!”
• Toru Nara (Larry Butz): he feels pretty honored to get to play as THE Larry Butz from the Ace Attorney series. Just like the saying goes (“When something smells, it’s usually the Butz”), he plans to get himself and others in trouble a lot!

The Ace Attorney anime series will start airing on April in Japan.
