This week-end, the Grand Final of the Go4Splatoon online tournament is taking place in Paris, and will start with an exhibition match in Splatoon 2. And today, Nintendo of America announced a similar tournament for the United States, called the Splatoon U.S. Inkling Open.

In collaboration with Nintendo, Battlefly is hosting an online Splatoon tournament in the United States. It’s open to pretty much anyone living in that country, as long you’re at least 18, have a Wii U console with Splatoon, and of course have an internet connection. The winning team will win a trip to Los Angeles, in order to attend E3 2017 and check out all the latest games from Nintendo (and other publishers).

If you want to enter, you will need to find 3 friends to play with (with an optional backup), and click here to register. For more information about the tournament, including the full rules, click here!

Pretty much all game modes will be played during this tournament: Turf War, Splat Zones, Tower Control and Rainmaker. The qualifying round (played in Turf War) will take place on April 22nd at 11AM PST / 2PM EST, though you need to log in early and check-in one hour early. After that, once the backet is seeded, you can set up your qualifying match using Battlefly’s Private Match Chat.

Only the Top 16 teams will move on to the finals, which will be played in Turf War, Splat Zones, and Tower Control in succession in single-elimination best-of-five play, until only two teams remain. As for the Grand Finals, it will take place from April 29th at 11AM PST / 2PM EST. The two remaining teams will battle in Rainmaker!
