Grand Final of the Go4Splatoon tournament: livestream recording now available
Back at gamescom, Nintendo announced a partnership with ESL (European eSports League), for Go4Splatoon: a series of online tournaments for European Splatoon players. And after 6 months of competition, it’s finally time for the Grand Final, which will take place on April 1st (Saturday) in Paris.
Four teams will battle in order to be crown champion, but also… to win a Nintendo Switch console! Here’s the four teams that made it to the Grand Final of the Go4 Splatoon tournament:
- Extermination from Germany, who reached the final match in four of the six monthly cups.
- Crème Fresh from France, the winners of the gamescom 2016 Splatoon Showdown.
- BYE, a team made up from players across Europe, who were the first team to break Extermination’s unbeaten record by winning the October Monthly Cup.
- Rising Moon from France, who are the only team to win two monthly ESL Go4Splatoon cups.
The Grand Final will take place on April 1st, and will be livestreamed on YouTube and Twitch. It will start at:
- Europe: 2PM
- UK: 1PM
- North America (EST): 8AM
- North America (PST): 5AM
- Japan: 9PM
The Grand Final will start with an exhibition match played in Splatoon 2, so even if you’re not all that interested in the original Splatoon anymore, you will have a reason to tune in!
