The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD – Quality of Life trailer, commercials

On Friday, Nintendo shared a long-awaited trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. It details the various Quality of Life changes that were made to this Nintendo Switch version, in order to offer an even more enjoyable gameplay experience to players.

Here’s the trailer:

The new features and improvements include:

  • Optional help from Fi, in the form of hints (pretty handy if you don’t know where to go)
  • two types of controls: Motion controls with the Joy-Cons, and Button-only controls
  • Enhanced framerate (with butter-smooth 60fps)
  • the ability to fast-forward dialogue
  • Streamlined item information (you no longer get an information screen about an item you’ve just picked up after collecting it just once, and yes, even after loading up a save data file!)

There’s also one feature not directly mentioned in the video (even though it IS shown): auto-saves.

Next, there’s a bunch of commercials for the game, from Nintendo of America:

Finally, here’s even more commercials, but from Japan this time around:

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD (Switch) comes out on July 16th worldwide.
