Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Latest Kickstarter update

Yesterday evening, WayForward posted their latest Kickstarter update for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, and revealed the design of one of the enemies. It’s called Cyclops Omicro Aquatis, and there’s something special about it: it was designed by one of the backers from the Kickstarter campaign (a fan named Ronald)!

Cyclops Omicro Aquatis are starfish-like monsters which can be found on land or underwater. If you get too close, they stick to you and hinder your movements until you manage to shake them lose.

WayForward also revealed the design for Rottytops in the special bonus chapter, in which you have to go catch a magic carpet thief (one of the stretchgoals during the Kickstarter campaign). It wasn’t designed by fans, at least no directly: they could still vote for their favorite outfit (by picking up the top and the bottom parts separetely).
