Miitopia: western release finally announced, first English screens and footage
Miitopia is a unique RPG that would be best described as Find Mii meets Tomodachi Life, released in December in Japan. Since Tomodachi Life was pretty successful outside Japan (and especially in Europe), it was only a matter of time until we got an announcement for the west… and that’s exactly what we got during the Nintendo Direct presentation, yesterday!
Miitopia will be released later this year in Europe and North America. Unfortunately, Nintendo didn’t give a more concrete release window, but it doesn’t look like the game will be released before this Fall…

Here’s the main features:
- Embark on your own personalized journey with Mii characters based on your friends and favorite people
- Guide a team of Mii characters on a quest to defeat the Dark Lord and restore the stolen faces of the people!
- Cast Mii characters in roles across the Kingdom of Miitopia
- Manage Mii friendships to increase their might in traditional turn-based battles
- As your Mii characters interact, watch their hilarious scenes unfold
- Assign your Mii allies jobs with specific abilities, stats, gear, and custom looks
