Pokkén Tournament DX

This week-end, EVO (one of the largest fighting games tournaments in the world) is taking place in Las Vegas. Nintendo is attending, and will have a booth where Pokkén Tournament DX will be playable. They will also host a virtual Pokkén Tournament DX Academy, which provides a “direct line of communication between Nintendo and the Pokkén Tournament DX players”.

Thanks to this Pokkén Tournament DX Academy, people who sign up will receive exclusive tips and tricks directly from Nintendo and the developers, but also an invitation to a special Nintendo event at PAX West (in Seattle).

Finally, there will be a sign-up sheet at Nintendo’s booth: people who do sign-up will be entered into an on-site drawing, for the chance to win a Nintendo Switch and Pokkén Tournament DX.

Pokémon The Movie x McDonald’s

As part of a collaboration with the latest Pokémon movie (opening this Saturday in Japan), McDonald’s restaurants are going to start selling a special type of McFlurry featuring Pikachu, logically called Pikachu McFlurry. If you’re wondering about the flavour, it’s choco-banana!

Pokkén Tournament (Arcade)

Today, another special event for Pokkén Tournament Arcade (in Japan) was announced. It will take place from July 13th (today) to July 23th, and it features Shadow Mewtwo. If you manage to beat it during a special battle (triggered after two plays on Hard), you will get a special title. You will not be able to get it a second time if you got it the first time this event ran.

a new mission panel to complete, with various goodies to unlock (avatar items, custom titles)
a new Special Bonus, with Support Pokémon sets, new avatar items, and new skills to unlock
