Right when E3 2016 started, Nintendo sent a press release to give additional details about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but also make some additional announcements. One of them is for the Mario Party series, which is getting a new entry in Nintendo 3DS later this year.

This new Mario Party game on Nintendo 3DS is called Mario Party Star Rush, and it will be released on November 4th in North America (the European and Japanese release date will be announced at a later date).

One of the main changes in Mario Party Star Rush is that players no longer have to wait for their turn: everyone move at once. However, it doesn’t look like players are traveling together (like the cars from previous entries, for example). The game will also feature “additions and changes to make it much more fast-paced and portable-friendly”.

The game will be showcased tomorrow during Day 2 of the Nintendo Treehouse Live, so we will see what kind of additions and changes Mario Party Star Rush is getting.

On the same day as the game (November 4th), Nintendo will also release some more amiibo from the Super Mario series, with:

  • Waluigi
  • Boo (glows in the dark)
  • Daisy
  • Wario (new pose)
  • Rosalina (new pose)
  • Donkey Kong (new pose)
  • Diddy Kong (new pose)

Here’s pictures of the amiibo:

Mario Party Start Rush (3DS) and the new Super Mario series amiibo come out on November 4th in North America, and this year in Europe and Japan. They have been added to our Upcoming Releases page!
