The Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy brings back a handy feature for players who just want to focus on the story: the aptly named Story Mode. Not only does it activates Auto Play (that makes text move forward automatically), it also performs actions for you (like making selections, presenting evidence, etc.). With this feature, even those who aren’t too good with puzzles can enjoy the game, as if they were watching a mystery show!

The Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy includes a handy feature that allows you to easily find a chapter for you to play or re-play. When you launch the collection, you can not only select the game you want to play, but also the Case, and even individual chapters.

The best part? You can do so the first time you launch the collection: you don’t even have to clear a single Case! That way, you can either enjoy each game from the very beginning, or instead jump straight to your favourite scenes if you’ve already played them!

The Animation Studio is another extra included in the Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy.

As the name implies, it’s an editor that allows you to play around with character animations in order to (re-)create various scenes. You can choose which animations and voiced lines will play, but also the BGM and backgrounds used. You can come up with all sorts of scenes, including some featuring combinations that wouldn’t even be possible in the actual games. Just let your imagination run wild!

Art Gallery is one of the extras included in the Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy. As the name indicates, it features various illustrations and other bonuses such as:

  • character setting images
  • the Phoenix Wright: Spirit of Justice anime short prologue
  • background illustrations

The Art Gallery also features some brand new illustrations, created by famous illustrators. There’s 4 of them in total, and you get them by clearing all 3 games (you get 1 illustration per game, then an extra illustration when you’ve cleared all 4).

According to Capcom, this is one of the largest Art Gallery in the series.

September 25th

During their Tokyo Game Show 2023 presentation, Capcom announced that Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy will launch on September 25th. Alongside that announcement, a brand new trailer was shared:

Here’s some details about the 3 games included in this collection:

  • Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney: 7 years after the events of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations, the courtroom drama begins anews with a new lawyer as protagonist: Apollo Justice. The first cases he takes on is a murder case, and his client none other than Phoenix Wright, the once-renowned prodigial lawyer. The game features an all-new cast, with Kristoph Gavin as Apollo’s mentor, Trucy Wright as his assistant, and Klavier Gavin as prosecutor.
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies: 8 years after his disbarment, Phoenix Wright is finally back in the courtroom. This time, he’s dead set on putting an end to the Dark Age of the Law, which sees defense lawyers and prosecutors fight not for truth and justice, but only for the sake of victory. He’s joined by Apollo Justice and rookie lawyer Athena Cykes. Graphics are now in 3D, and the courtroom battles have become even more exciting thanks to the lively animations of the characters and the dynamic presentation.
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice: two protagonists (Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice) and two settings (the Kingdom of Khura’in and Japan). In the Kingdom of Khura’in, trials are unlike anything Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice have ever seen: there are no lawyers, and the verdict is based on the results of a Divination Séance conducted by a psychic medium. New characters appear, such as Nahyuta Sahdmadhi (prosecutor), while fan favourites make their return (Maya Fey for example).

And alongside those three games, the Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy also includes some extras. One of them is music: the collection features no less than 175 music tracks for you to listen to. That includes the following:

  • the full soundtracks of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice
  • the Ace Attorney 15th Anniversary Orchestra Concert
  • the Ace Attorney Orchestra Concert 2019 (14 tracks)

You can listen to all those tracks while looking at animations featuring newly-drawn chibi characters.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy (Switch) comes out on January 25th worldwide.
