Rocket League coming to the Nintendo Switch this Winter, exclusive content, devs targeting 60fps

Rocket League is a unique football game where you control not a regular human being, but instead a car… which is why it plays absolutely nothing like a regular football game! It’s one of the most popular indie games of the past few years, with million of players all around the world. And good news for Nintendo Switch owners: it’s coming to the console later this year (this Winter), and will cost 19.99€/$19.99 (like on other platforms).

This version of the game will feature some exclusive customisation items and Battle-Cars, seemingly Nintendo-themed. And in an interview with Polygon, the developers have confirmed they were targeting 60fps for both TV and Handheld mode:

The goal for the Switch version of Rocket League is to have it feel like it does on every other platform. Developer Psyonix is hoping to get the game running at 60 fps in both the Switch’s docked and undocked mode, running at 720p. The performance of the game, the developer argues, is more important than pure visual fidelity.
