Today’s Super Mario Maker #16; official website

With just a couple of days left until release (September 10th in Japan, September 11th in Europe and North America), Nintendo is still going with its Today’s Super Mario Maker series, launched earlier this month. Every day, the company is going to highlight a particular element from the game, via videos, screenshots, etc..

For Today’s Super Mario Maker, Nintendo shared one lone screenshot, which shows something rather… peculiar. It’s Mario wearing a Spiney as a helmet while inside a Goomba/Kuribo’s Shoe and making the Bowser’s Clown Car fly. If you showed this picture to someone who had never heard of Super Mario Maker before, they would most likely be wondering what happened to Mario…

This picture shows the kind of crazy combinations you can make with items in Super Mario Maker. It doesn’t really matter if none of the items were present in the Game Style you’ve picked up: you will be able to do (almost) everything you want, even if it doesn’t make any sense at all. The only limit? Your imagination… or how long you can keep playing without you or your friends dying from laughter.

Here’s the picture:
