Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp – Events and Content Updates [January 2019]

Since Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is a smartphone game, with micro-transactions as business model, it’s going to get various events and content updates on a regular basis. Just like Fire Emblem Heroes (and to a lesser extent, Miitomo), the goal is to make sure players keep playing… and spending, obviously.

January 1st

• [Log-in Bonus] To celebrate New Year, all players can claim the following as special Log-in Bonus: New Year’s headband (available until February 1st)
• [Cookies] A new Fortune Cookie and related set of Stamp Trade rewards are now available: nordic patch cookie. Fortune Cookies page updated! (available until April 1st)
• [Store] Two new packs are now available in the Store (can only be purchased once each, available until January 10th):
  • New Year’s Pack S: Leaf Ticket x320 (160 + 160 Bonus), Calling Card x1
  • New Year’s Pack L: Leaf Ticket x1600 (800 + 800 Bonus), Calling Card x1

January 3rd

• [Log-in Bonus] A new set of Daily Log-in Bonus is now live. It allows you to get the following: fertilizer x3, sporty essence x3, Calling Card x1, Leaf Ticket x5, historical essence x3, river throw net x3, and Leaf Ticket x10 (available until January 10th)

January 7th

• [Goals] A new set of Timed Goals is now live: Butterfly Goals. You have to catch the following butterflies in order to earn Leaf Tickets and Fortune Cookies: monarch butterfly, tiger butterfly, and emperor butterfly (appearance rate increased for this one). Important notes: butterflies given to you from animals, or obtained from a Market Box, do not count towards the goals (available until January 11th)

January 10th

• [Terrain] New Terrain options are now live: snowy sky (Sky), first anniversary (middle, Middle Ground, re-release of the gift distributed to everyone in November 2018) (no end date)
• [Log-in Bonus] A new set of Daily Log-in Bonus is now live. It allows you to get the following: honey x3, modern essence essence x3, Request Ticket x2, Leaf Ticket x5, natural essence x3, sea throw net x3, and Leaf Ticket x10 (available until January 17th)

January 11th

• [Events] The 7th Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt event is now live. Check out this post for all the details! (available until January 22nd)
• [Shovelstrike Quarry] While the 7th Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt event is running, you can find snow-park gyroidite at the Shovelstrike Quarry (when the icon is displayed) (available until January 22nd)
• [Goals] A new set of Timed Goals is now available: Gyroidite Goals (5 sets) (available until January 22nd)
• [Store] A new Pack is now available in the Store: the Gyroidite-Jammed Pack. It can be purchased up to 5 times, and includes the following: Leaf Ticket x100 (80 + 20 Bonus), and snow-park gyroidite x20 (available until January 22nd)

January 15th

• [Cookies] A new Fortune Cookie and related set of Stamp Trade rewards is now live: Hamlet’s chilly cookie. Fortune Cookies page updated! (available until April 15th)
• [Memories] A new Scrapbook Memory is now live: Frozen Fun with Hamlet. Memories page updated! (no end date)
• [Animals] 3 new Animals have arrived: Puck (bobsled), Skye (fancy doll), and Hans (snowmobile). Animals page updated! (no end date)
• [Goals] A new set of Timed Goals is now live: Host the Most (available until January 21st)

January 17th

• [Goals] A new set of Goals is now live: Shell Goals. They task you with collecting as many shells as possible, in order to earn Leaf Tickets and Fortune Cookies. The target Shells are: coral, conch shell, scallop shell, and pearl-oyster shell (those obtained from Animals or Market Boxes do not count) (available until January 21st)
• [Log-in Bonus] A new set of Daily Log-in Bonuses is now live. It allows you to get the following: fertilizer x3, elegant essence x3, Calling Card x1, Leaf Ticket x5, cute essence x3, river throw net x3, and Leaf Ticket x10 (available until January 24th)

January 22nd

• [Event] The 10th Fishing Tourney is now live: check out this post for all the details (available until January 29th, with Trophies available until January 30th)
• [Goals] A new set of Timed Goals is now live: Chip Challenges (available from the Fishing Tourney menu) (available until January 29th)
• [Store] A new pack is now available in the Store: Fishing Tourney Support Pack. It includes the following: Leaf Ticket x100 (80 + 20 Bonus), lg. tourney throw net x1, tourney throw net x1 (can only be purchased once, available until January 29th)
• [Stamp Trade] A new set of Stamp Trade rewards is now available: Modern Garden (reissue). Fortune Cookies page updated! (available until February 21st)

January 24th

• [Log-in Bonus] A new set of Daily Log-in Bonuses is now live. It allows you to get the following: honey x3, harmonious essence x3, Request Ticket x2, Leaf Ticket x5, cool essence x3, sea throw net x3, and Leaf Ticket x10 (available until January 31st)

January 25th

• [Animals] A new Special Item is now live: snowfall snowman. It allows you to invite Snowfall Snowman to your campsite! It requires Leaf Ticket x350, and can be crafted from the Special – Available for a Limited Time section of the Craft menu. Animals page update (available until March 26th)

January 30th

• [Software Update] The next Software update for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is now available: Ver. 2.1.0. Check out this post all the details about the new features, improvements, and bug fixes! Official patch notes have been added to this page.
• [Log-in Bonus] To celebrate the release of the new Software updates, all players can claim the following as special Log-in Bonus: Leaf Ticket x20, craft material for tasseled loafers (paper x30, 840 Bells) (available until February 8th)
