Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp – All the Events and Content updates (January 2018)
Since Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is a smartphone game, with micro-transactions as business model, it’s going to get various events and content updates on a regular basis. Just like Fire Emblem Heroes (and to a lesser extent, Miitomo), the goal is to make sure players keep playing… and spending, obviously.

January 1st
- [Store] To celebrate New Year, two New Year’s Party Packs are now available in the store until January 5th:
- New Year’s Party Pack S: Leaf Ticket x60 (40+20 bonus) + Calling Card x1
- New Year’s Party Pack L: Leaf Ticket x700 (417+283 bonus) + Calling Card x1
- [Log-in Bonus] To celebrate New Year, all players can get the following as Log-in Bonus: Leaf Ticket x20 (available until January 2nd)
- [Log-in Bonus] A new set of Daily Log-in Bonuses is now live, allowing players to get the following: Leaf Ticket x1, wood x3, honey x3, 1 000 Bells, sporty essence x1, Request Ticket x2, steel x3, sea throw net x3, 1 000 Bells, and 1 cute essence (available until January 11th)
January 7th
- [Animals] Today, 4 new Animals were added to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. We have: Sprinkle (snow machine), Static (robot hero), Ava (large egg), and Boots (potbelly stove). Animals added to this page!
- [Event] The latest Host the Most Initiative is now live! For a limited time, completing Animals request allows you to grow your friendship with them faster (available until January 13th)
January 9th
- [Update] A new Software update for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is now available: Ver. 1.1.2. Check out this page for more details about Software updates for the game.
January 11th
- [Event] The first part of the latest event, Rover’s Garden Safari, is now live. Check out this post for all you need to know about it, including how to play! (available until January 22nd)
- [Goals] A new set of Timed Goals is now available: “Event Challenge” (related to Rover’s Garden Safari). Completing those goals allows you to get various craft materials, Leaf Tickets, Bells, and more (available until January 22nd)
- [Log-in Bonus] A new set of Daily Log-in Bonuses is now live, allowing players to get the following: Leaf Ticket x1, cotton x3, fertilizer x3, 1 000 Bells, cool essence x1, Calling Card x1, essence x1, honey x3, preserves x3, and natural essence x1 (available until January 21th)
- [Paint Job] A new Paint Job is now available for your camper at OK Motors: the Rover. You can only use Leaf Tickets to get it!
January 17th
- [Event] The second part of the latest event, Rover’s Garden Safari, is now live, with one new type of seeds (and plant) and 2 new types of butterflies. Check out this post for all you need to know about it, including how to play! (available until January 22nd)
January 18th
- [Update] Clothes crafting is finally available! Check out this post for all you need to know!
- [Timed Goals] A new set of Timed Goals is now live. It’s a set of two Trial Challenges, that task you with crafting clothes to get a total of 10 Leaf Tickets (available until January 27th)
January 21st
- [Log-in Bonus] A new set of Daily Log-in Bonuses is now live, allowing players to get the following: Leaf Ticket x1, paper x3, sea throw net x3, 1 000 Bells, sporty essence x1, Request Ticket x1, steel x3, river throw net x3, 1 000 Bells, and cute essence x1 (available until January 31st)
- [Teaser] Tomorrow, a new event will start and will feature winter-themed furniture. More details coming tomorrow!
- [Tip] Looking for some cotton and paper to craft some clothes? Try talking to the animals featured in the picture below!
January 22nd
- [Event] The Winter Sports Event is now live. Check out this post for all you need to know! (available until January 31st)
- [Craft] During the Winter Sports Event, you can craft some Winter Sports-themed clothes and furniture (available until January 31st)
- [Goals] A new set of Timed Goals, and more precisely Event Challenges, is now available. Clearing those allow you to get some precious snowflakes and some Leaf Tickets! (available until January 31st)
- [Store] During the Winter Sports Event, you can purchase a special “Winter Craft Pack” from the store. It includes 20 Leaf Tickets and 5 snowflakes (available until January 31st)
January 27th
- [Event] Today, Nintendo started teasing the next event for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Unfortunately, we don’t know when it will go live!
- [Update] The latest Software update for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is now available: Ver. 1.1.4. Check out this post for the official patch notes!
January 28th
- [Animals] Today, Nintendo teased the arrival of no less than 6 new animals! Can you guess which ones?
January 29th
- [Notice] A glitch is curently impacting players running Ver. 1.1.4 of the game, preventing them from getting the correct amount of friend powder when playing in the garden. It will be fixed in an upcoming Software update.
January 30th
- [Animals] No less than 6 new Animals are now available: Francine (teacup ride), Stitches (popcorn machine), Merengue (candy machine), Bob (boot sculpture), Twiggy (matryoshka), Pietro (pop-up book). They’ve been added to this page! (no end date)
- [Goals] Today, a new set of Timed Goals went live: “Host the Most”. Clearing those allow you to get hip essence (available until February 4th)
- [Event] For a limited time, you can get hip essence from the Shovelstrike Quarry (available until February 6th)
- [Update] A new update for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is now available for devices running Android: Ver. 1.1.5. Check out this post for more details! (no end date)
January 31st
