Super Smash Bros.: Mewtwo DLC code redeemable until Sept. 30 in Japan

Tomorrow, Nintendo will release a brand new update for both Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. Mewtwo will also be released that day, but only for people who registered both games on the Club Nintendo before March 30th.

In Japan, Nintendo has already started sending mails to members who registered both games, but no download code is included. Apparently, players will have to go on the Club Nintendo website in order to request the codes (one for each version of the game, as announced previously). In Europe and North America, Nintendo announced that the code would be sent via email.

One thing to note about the download codes: they have to be redeemed on the Nintendo eShop (Wii U) or the in-game shop (Nintendo 3DS) before September 30th in Japan. Since this is the same day as the Club Nintendo closure in Japan, it’s likely (but not confirmed) that the deadline for the Mewtwo download codes is September 30th in Europe and June 30th in North America.

We should be getting more information about the download codes for Mewtwo by tomorrow!
