Splatoon: Japanese fans make a real-life version of the Inkzooka; Japan Expo pics

Splatoon came out in May worldwide, and it’s been quite popular since then: over 1 million units have been sold worldwide. Quite surprisingly, the game is making a lot of noise in Japan, even outside the video game sphere. Today, we have another proof with a rather impressive (and amusing) video.

It shows some fans, who managed to make a real-life replica of the Inkzooka (which is definitely one of the most powerful sub weapons in the game). Obviously, it doesn’t shoot any ink, but rather some water. It’s basically a water canon disguised as an Inkzooka: it’s so powerful, it breaks after pretty much every single shot!

However, the whole thing isn’t too practical: it’s not only very big (180cm in total), but also extremely heavy (15kg). Its range is quite remarkable, too: 25m, though it really is the fire power which is impressive.

Here’s the video of the real-life Inkzooka (if it doesn’t work for you, click here!):

Here’s various picture of Splatoon at the Japan Expo, including some for Shigeru Miyamoto’s master class and a special illustration:
