Splatoon 2: latest content updates (new maps, weapons, gear, more) [July 2019]

Miitomo, Fire Emblem Heroes, Super Mario Run… they all have their own special post for content updates. And guess what… Splatoon 2 is also getting one. In fact, you’re reading it right now! In this post, we’re going to list all the content updates (new weapons, Gear, maps, etc.) for September 2018 onwards. Looking for Software updates? Make sure to check out the link below!

New weapons will all be added at the same time, at the beginning of each month. A new stage will be added on the first day of a given month! Check out this post for more details.

July 31st

  • [Gear] To celebrate the launch of Ver. 5.0.0, a special piece of gear will be distributed: the Splatfest Tee Replica. It has the Ability Doubler ability, and its colour changes depending on the colour of your team’s ink. Also, if you take part in a Private Splatfest and any player is wearing that shirt, then the team names will be displayed on the screen at the start of a battle, just like in a real Splatfest!
