Shakedown Hawaii coming to the Nintendo Switch, trailer and screens

Shakedown Hawaii is the title of the new game from VBlank Entertainment, and a spiritual sequel to Retro City Rampage. Besides the visuals (the game sports a nice 16-bits look), there’s another aspect of the game that has been upgraded… pretty much everything else!

Shakedown Hawaii is an open-world action game, where you once again get to play as the protagonist of Retro City Rampage. This time around, your goal is to build yourself a true business empire, and you’re ready to do pretty much anything to achieve your goal. It’s not like anyone will care about the collateral damage, right?

The game is a parody of big business, and the white collar crimes that go alongisde. As mentioned above, your goal in the game is to build your own business empire, and monopolize entire markets… competition isn’t really something you hold dear!

Shakedown Hawaii was originally announced for the Nintendo 3DS, but it turns out it’s also coming to the Nintendo Switch… that will get it before any other platforms, in Q2 2017! It looks like this version of the game will get some exclusive features, but nothing has been announced so far…

Here’s a trailer and some screenshots + art for the game:

Shakedown Hawaii (Switch – eShop) comes out in Q2 2017 in Europe and North America. The Nintendo 3DS version will follow at a later date. The Upcoming Releases page and the list of confirmed games for the Nintendo Switch have both been updated!
