Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection announced for Nintendo Switch; first trailers and footage

It’s been well over 4 years since the release of the latest Etrian Odyssey game (Etrian Odyssey Nexus, back in 2018), but soon, fans of the series will be able to go back and explore perilous dungeons again. During a livestream for Etrian Odyssey in 2018, Atlus teased a new Etrian Odyssey game (still MIA), but the first one to land on Switch is actually a collection: Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection!

Here’s the reveal trailer, and a Japanese trailer:

If those two trailers weren’t enough for you, here’s some more footage of the collection: (from the first official livestream):

Releasing on June 1st worldwide, Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection is a collection featuring the first 3 Etrian Odyssey games, originally released on Nintendo DS:

  • Etrian Odyssey (Etrian Odyssey HD on Nintendo Switch)
  • Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard (Etrian Odyssey II HD on Nintendo Switch)
  • Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City (Etrian Odyssey III HD on Nintendo Switch)

Each game in the collection will be available for purchase separately on Nintendo eShop, on top of the retail release with all three games on the same cart. Pre-orders are now live on the Nintendo eShop, and players who either pre-purchase the games or buy them before June 15th will be able to get the Atlus Collaboration Adventurer Illustration Pack.

This pack features some character illustrations (they provide no changes to gameplay or the characters) based on other Atlus games:
