Etrian Odyssey: new game teased, recordings of the live performances by SQ F.O.E. Band with Yuzo Koshiro

During the pre-launch livestream for Etrian Odyssey X (releasing this Thursday in Japan), Atlus showed a mysterious teaser trailer. The trailer doesn’t show anything but a bunch of silhouettes in a forest background (complete with the grave of the foolish adventurers who underestimated the labyrinth of the World Tree), and reveals that the series is ready to head “To the next stage”.

This is clearly a teaser for the next game in the series, but the problem is that we know absolutely nothing about it… not too surprising since the latest one isn’t even out yet! This teaser trailer is only there to “reassure” fans that the series isn’t going to end on Nintendo 3DS, though Atlus has never implied that it would.

Etrian Odyssey X is the 10th game in the Etrian Odyssey series.

It’s only thanks to the support from fans, who have been playing it to this very day, that we have been able to keep the series going so far. Thank you very much.

As we announced initially, Etrian Odyssey X is the culmination of the Etrian Odyssey series to this day, and it’s the final game on Nintendo 3DS. Of course, it only means that there will be no more Etrian Odyssey games on Nintendo 3DS. This last game is nothing but an herald of the beginning of the next stage. The world tree, which has been supported by all of you, is now headed towards a brand new world.

Etrian Odyssey X (3DS) comes out on August 2nd in Japan.
