Pokkén Tournament: Scizor to be added to Arcade version on Oct. 20th, trailer and footage

A few days ago, Bandai-Namco announced that the Arcade version of Pokkén Tournament would get a brand new Battle Pokémon soon, and that it would be revealed on October 13th. Just like last time, that reveal was made during a livestream, with Masaaki Hoshino (Producer) as one of the guests.

That new Battle Pokémon is none other than… Scizor (a Power Pokémon)! Its Burst Attack allows him to Mega Evolve into Mega Scizor. It will added to the Arcade version of Pokkén Tournament on October 20th, but unlike Darkrai, it doesn’t look like it will be part of a larger update adding new features. That being said, there will be the usual event at launch.

Here’s the trailer for Scizor in Pokkén Tournament on Arcade:

And just like last time, Scizor was showcased during the livestream with several battles:

  • Scizor vs Scizor

  • Scizor vs Gengar

  • Scizor vs Garhcomp

  • Scirzor vs Darkrai

Unfortunately, just like with Darkrai, we don’t know if/when Scizor will be added to Pokkén Tournament on Wii U. Bandai-Namco previously confirmed that this version would not get any DLC, but plans often change. Then again, it’s more likely a NX version with more content will be released down the line, but obviously, this is nothing but pure speculation on our part.

Thanks Serebii for the extra details!
