Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Let’s Go, Eevee!

Thanks to the latest post on the Topics section of Nintendo’s website, we now have some additional details about the Poké Ball Plus when it’s used along with Pokémon GO. It can be put in Pokémon GO Plus mode, with two additional “modes”:

  • if you put a Pokémon in the Poké Ball Plus, then it will spin the Poké Stops automatically;
  • if you don’t put a Pokémon in the Poké Ball Plus, you will simply be notified of nearby Poké Stops via vibrations.

Pokémon GO

To celebrate the launch of Ingress Prime, Niantic’s latest mobile game, some goodies went live in Pokémon GO yesterday:

  • special t-shirt avatar items, available for free from the Style Shop. Those feature a futuristic design, one with the Ingress Prime logo and the other two with colours + designs representing the game’s two factions
  • two Shiny Pokémon have started appearing: Shiny Ponyta and Shiny Cubone!

Here’s what the t-shirts look like:

Also, some new boxes are available for purchase in the in-game store:

  • Special Box (480 Coins): Incubators (x2), Lucky Egg (x1), Premium Raid Pass (x2), Star Piece (x3)
  • Great Box (780 Coins): Super Incubator (x3), Premium Raid Pass (x4), Star Piece (x6), Lure Module (x2)
  • Ultra Box (1480 Coins): Incense (x4), Super Incubator (x9), Premium Raid Pass (x10), Star Piece (x14).

Finally, it’s been announced that the Quilava evolved during the upcoming Community Day (on November 10th, at the usual time) will learn Blast Burn, a powerful Fire-type move.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Battle Competition

Today, another Battle Competition for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon was announced: the 2018 International Challenge November Online Competition. Here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Pokémon allowed: those from the National Pokédex (including two of the following: Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma);
  • Pokémon banned: Rayquaza with the move Dragon Ascent, Pokémon brought in via Poké Transporter, Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Magearna, Marshadow, Zeraora, and Ash-Greninja. Also, you’re not allowed to have 2 Pokémon with the same Pokédex number;
  • Battles: Double Battles, 4 Pokémon out of 6 sent to battle;
  • Level: 50 (lowered if above that);
  • Items: Z-Crystals, Mega Stones, the Blue Orb, and the Red Orb, as well any duplicate Hold Items, are not allowed.
  • Participation prize: Shiny Tapu Lele (need to take part in at least 3 battles), Championship Points (that count toward the 2019 Pokémon World Championships, top-players only)
  • Registration: November 20th to November 29th
  • Battles: November 30th to December 2nd
  • Results announced sometime in November
