Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon – Berry distribution

Starting today, players can get the following as Mystery Gift in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon:

  • Enigma Berry x12
  • Micle Berry x12
  • Custap Berry x12
  • Jaboca Berry x12
  • Rowap Berry x12

You can get those via the Mystery Gift option (via the internet, no Serial Code required) until September 2nd.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Battle Competition

Today, the latest Battle Competition for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon was announced: the Simple Symphony. Here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Pokémon allowed: Pokémon with only one Type (Poké Transporter allowed)
  • Pokémon banned: Pokémon with more than one Type, Legendary Pokémon, Mythical Pokémon
  • Battles: Single, 3 Pokémon sent to battle
  • Level: 50 (lowered if above that)
  • Restrictions: Z-Moves allowed
  • Item restrictions: Mega Stones and duplicate Hold Items not allowed
  • Participation prize: 50 Battle Points (must complete at least one battle)
  • Registration: January 15th to January 25th
  • Battles: January 25th to January 27th

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Championship Battle (Battle Spot)

Today, the new ruleset for the Championship Battle ladder on Battle Spot went live. It’s the VGC 2019 Moon Series ruleset, and here’s all you need to know:

  • Battles: Doubles
  • Pokémon allowed: National Pokédex (only those captured, evolved, or hatched in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon), including Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma (but no more than two of those in a given team)
  • Pokémon banned: Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Magearna, Marshadow, Zearora, and Ash-Greninja
  • Items banned: Mega Stones, Red Orb, Blue Orb, Ultranecrozium Z
  • Move banned: Dragon Ascent

Today, the Rating Battle Season 14 went live. Here’s all you need to know:

  • Games: Pokémon Sun and Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (separate rankings)
  • Move restrictions: moves introduced in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon cannot be used in Pokémon Sun and Moon battles
  • Battles: Single
  • Items banned: all items, except Berries
  • Pokémon banned: all Legendary, some Mythical, Ash-Greninja

Pokémon Trading Card Game

Thanks to retailers, we have some details about two upcoming sets for the Pokémon Trading Card Game in Japan:

  • April 26th: special Detective Pikachu (the movie) set, featuring 24 cards + some secret ones. Booster packs will be sold 200 Yen, and will include 4 holo cards. It looks like cards from this set will be found in special promotional boxes outside Japan;
  • May 31st: Miracle Twin set, focusing on Mew and Mewtwo, and including no less than 94 cards.
