  • Platforms: Nintendo Switch, Mobile (Android, iOS)
  • Patch notes:

Schedule Adjustment for Ranked Match Season 36

The end time for Ranked Match Season 36 has been changed as follows:

  • Before: July 1 at 03:30 (UTC)
  • After: Jun 31 at 23:30 (UTC)

Additionally, the end time for subsequent Ranked Match series starting from Season 36 will also be changed to 23:30 (UTC) on the last day of each month.

Adjustment Details

Changes have been made to some Pokémon stats and moves to adjust the balance of Unite Battles.

【Sylveon】

In the current Unite Battles, Sylveon has struggled due to a lack of damage output compared to other Attacker Pokémon, often losing in direct confrontations. To ensure it can perform effectively as an Attacker, its move damage and cooldowns have been adjusted. Additionally, the Sp. Atk and Sp. Def stats granted by its Ability have been increased to give it an edge in prolonged battles.

  • Ability: Pixilate
    • Sp. Atk and Sp. Def increase upon dealing or receiving damage: 2.5% increase (max 6 stacks) → 5% increase (max 4 stacks)
  • Mystical Fire
    • Damage: 8% increase
  • Hyper Voice
    • Damage dealt when hitting from a distance: 15% increase
  • Calm Mind
    • Cooldown: 9s → 8s

【Armarouge】

As a Pokémon that excels at dealing damage while utilizing its durability, Armarouge’s shield capacity and move damage in close-to-mid-range combat felt slightly underwhelming. To help it better leverage its unique characteristics in battle, the damage and shield amounts across its moves have been increased.

  • Armor Cannon
    • Damage: 8% increase
  • Fire Spin
    • Cooldown: 8s → 7s
    • Shield amount: 10% increase
  • Flame Charge
    • Damage: 30% increase
    • Shield amount: 10% increase
  • Unite Move: Psyche Explosion
    • Damage: 8% increase

【Tinkaton】

While Gigaton Hammer deals immense damage when fully charged, its damage output when charged only briefly was insufficient, making it difficult for Tinkaton to perform effectively in various situations. To allow for more flexible performance in Unite Battles, the damage of Gigaton Hammer before being fully charged has been increased. Additionally, its Ability and Unite Move have been strengthened to facilitate better coordination with allies and make it easier to share its advantages with the team.

  • Ability: Mold Breaker
    • Max attack increase stacks when landing a boosted attack or move on an opponent team Pokémon: 60 → 100
  • Gigaton Hammer
    • Damage when charging for 0.5s: 25% increase
    • Damage when charging for 1s: 8% increase
  • Unite Move: Kiss Bliss Kaboom
    • Duration opponents are left unable to act: 0.75s → 1.2s

【Falinks】

When selecting the move set of Megahorn and No Retreat, Falinks lacked overall durability and damage output compared to other All-Rounder Pokémon in the current Unite Battles. To allow it to fight with greater tenacity, the shield duration and damage reduction effects provided by these moves have been enhanced. Additionally, the cooldown of No Retreat and the energy requirement of its Unite Move have been reduced to allow for more flexible switching of formations.

  • Megahorn
    • Shield duration: 2.5s → 3.5s
    • Additional damage: 3% of max HP → 5% of max HP
  • No Retreat
    • Cooldown: 5s → 4s
    • Frontal damage reduction rate: 20% → 30%
  • Unite Move: Dust Devil Formation
    • Energy requirement: 100000 → 90000

【Empoleon】

Empoleon lacked sufficient damage during close-combat, often making it difficult to impact team fights or contest wild Pokémon. To increase its presence on the front lines, the damage of Metal Claw and Whirlpool has been strengthened, and the HP recovery of Whirlpool and Hydro Cannon has been increased to support its durability during combat.

  • Metal Claw
    • Damage: 10% increase
  • Whirlpool
    • Damage: 12% increase
    • HP recovery: 40% of damage dealt → 50% of damage dealt (recovery amount is halved against wild Pokémon)
    • HP recovery when upgraded: 50% of damage dealt → 60% of damage dealt (recovery amount is halved against wild Pokémon)
  • Hydro Cannon
    • HP recovery: 10% increase

【Absol】

As the durability of other Pokémon has been buffed overall, Absol—which sacrifices its own durability for overwhelming offensive capabilities—has faced increasingly difficult battles. To ensure it can slip past the opponent’s fortified defenses and pose a significant threat to their backline Pokémon, its burst damage capability has been enhanced.

  • Psycho Cut
    • Additional damage: 20% increase
  • Pursuit
    • Damage: 8% increase
  • Unite Move: Midnight Slash
    • Energy requirement: 90000 → 80000

【Eldegoss】

To provide stronger support for its allies during prolonged combat, the HP recovery, cooldowns, and overall supportive capabilities of Eldegoss’s moves have been adjusted.

  • Pollen Puff
    • HP recovery: 10% increase
  • Pollen Puff+
    • Damage reduction rate: 15% → 20%
  • Cotton Guard
    • Cooldown: 10.5s → 9.5s
  • Leaf Tornado
    • Movement speed increase: 55% (duration: 1.5s) → 60% (duration: 2s)
  • Unite Move: Cotton Cloud Crash
    • HP recovery: 10% increase

【Lapras】

To make Lapras more effective against opponent Pokémon that deal massive damage in a single hit, the damage reduction of its Ability and the HP recovery of its boosted attacks have been strengthened. Additionally, Bubble Beam and Ice Beam have been buffed to improve its overall contribution to the team as a Defender.

  • Ability: Shell Armor
    • Damage reduction rate when receiving a single instance of damage that exceeds 10% of max HP: 20% → 25%
  • Boosted Attack
    • HP recovery: 3.5% of target’s max HP → 4% of target’s max HP
  • Bubble Beam
    • Cooldown: 9s → 8s
  • Ice Beam
    • Movement speed increase when standing on ice: 20% → 40%

【Skeledirge】

Since the duration of the fear effect from Snarl was too short to reliably withstand the opponent’s onslaught, its duration has been extended. Additionally, the cooldown of its Ability has been shortened to allow it to deal more consistent damage in skirmishes.

  • Ability: Blaze
    • Cooldown after activation: 20s → 15s
  • Snarl
    • Duration opponents are left in fear: 0.5s → 0.7s

【Greninja】

The strategy of utilizing Water Shuriken and Double Team together to safely deal damage from a distance while recovering its own HP had become excessively strong. To address this, both moves have been tuned down. Furthermore, since Greninja could too frequently dive into the opponent team with its Unite Move and secure consecutive KOs using the HP recovery from Surf, the energy requirement of its Unite Move has been increased and the recovery performance of Surf has been lowered.

  • Water Shuriken
    • Damage: 10% decrease
  • Double Team
    • Cooldown: 8s → 9s
  • Surf
    • HP recovery: 10% decrease
  • Unite Move: Waterburst Shuriken
    • Energy requirement: 90000 → 100000

【Decidueye】

The combination of locating opponents with Shadow Sneak from outside their vision to reduce their Defense, followed up by immediately sniping them down with Spirit Shackle was slightly too oppressive. Therefore, the performance of both moves has been lowered.

  • Shadow Sneak
    • Opponent’s Defense reduction: 60% → 40%
  • Shadow Sneak+
    • Opponent’s Defense reduction: 80% → 60%
  • Spirit Shackle
    • Cooldown: 8.5s → 9s

【Moltres】

With the excellent offensive and recovery capabilities of Heat Wave combined with the powerful burn damage from its Ability, Moltres was overperforming as an All-Rounder. Both the damage and HP recovery of Heat Wave have been adjusted, and the burn damage of its Ability has been reduced to better balance its offensive and defensive capabilities.

  • Ability: Flame Body
    • The damage caused by burning: 20% decrease
  • Heat Wave
    • Damage: 10% decrease
    • HP recovery: 5% of max HP 4 times → 4% of max HP 4 times

【Machamp】

For a move that allows Machamp to approach opponents while being completely immune to hindrances and reliably secure a KO, the cooldown of Submission was too short. Therefore, the cooldown of Submission has been extended.

  • Submission
    • Cooldown: 8s → 9.5s

【Meganium】

While possessing high durability, Meganium’s ability to simultaneously apply wide-area hindrances and debuff opponents with its Unite Move provided an excessive level of stability in combat. To bring its overall impact in Unite Battles to a more reasonable level, the HP recovery, cooldowns, and hindrance effects of its moves have been reduced.

  • Synthesis
    • HP recovery the second time when move ranges overlap: 50% decrease
  • Petal Blizzard
    • Cooldown: 6s → 7s
  • Grass Knot
    • Damage: 20% decrease
  • Unite Move: Full Bloom Aroma
    • Opponent’s damage reduction: 15% → 10%

【Articuno】

Articuno’s ability to easily secure an early-game lead with basic attacks that apply powerful slows and deal significant damage was too strong. Therefore, its basic attack damage has been decreased. Additionally, since it could too frequently apply wide-area hindrances—leaving opponents with almost no room to approach—the cooldown of Blizzard has been extended.

  • Basic Attack
    • Damage: 20% decrease
  • Blizzard
    • Cooldown: 8s → 9s

Bug Fixes

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • Fixed a bug where landing Pay Day from a certain distance on an opponent team Pokémon would not increase the recently dealt damage count for Feint Attack.
  • Fixed a bug where the HP gauge would disappear when Typhlosion activated its Unite Move while spectating.
  • Fixed a bug where the “Master 0” rewards for Ranked Match Series 36 could be obtained without reaching Master Rank.

Pokémon Unite – Ver. 1.23.1.1

  • Release date: May 27th/28th 2026
  • Platforms: Nintendo Switch, Mobile (Android, iOS)
  • File size: 264MB (Android)
  • Patch notes:

Adjustments to Move Learning

To allow trainers to quickly command their Pokémon to use a new move upon reaching the required level, moves will now be learned automatically when that level is reached.

Adjustments to the EXP System

To prevent situations where Pokémon miss out on EXP after assisting with a wild Pokémon KO due to being too far away, we have updated the mechanic. Now, if an ally Pokémon KOs a wild Pokémon within 2 seconds of you dealing damage to it, you are guaranteed to receive EXP regardless of your distance from the wild Pokémon.

Balance Adjustments

To adjust the balance of Unite Battles, some Pokémon stats and moves have been changed.

【Meowscarada】

Double Team

  • Clone search range: 5m → 8m

In a previous update, reducing the search range of the illusory copy from “Double Team” made it easier for Trainers to create a clone in the opposite direction of opponents to escape. However, it conversely made it more difficult to utilize the illusory copy in front to approach the opponent Pokémon. To accommodate and enable both of these battle styles, we have re-adjusted the search range of the illusory copy.

【Meganium】

Petal Dance

  • Damage: 10% decrease
  • HP recovery: 15% decrease

Unite Move: Full Bloom Aroma

  • Unite Gauge energy required: 30000 → 90000
  • Unite Gauge energy accumulated over time: 900/s → 2700/s
  • Unite Gauge energy accumulated when a move hits an opponent Pokémon: 1500 → 4500
  • Shield amount upon Unite Move activation: 20% of max HP → 10% of max HP
  • Movement speed increase upon Unite Move activation: 30% → 10%
  • Damage: 20% decrease

Meganium’s key feature is its ability to use its Unite Move to power up its own moves and frequently fight using its moves in full blooms. However, the amount of Unite Move gauge energy gained when scoring goals or defeating wild Pokémon had a disproportionately high impact compared to other Pokémon, leading to the frequency of its Unite Move usage exceeding our expectations. To ensure fairness in Unite Battles and keep the frequency of its Unite Move within the expected range, we have adjusted both the total energy required for Meganium’s Unite Move and the amount of energy gained from various sources, preventing its cooldown from being drastically reduced by scoring goals or defeating wild Pokémon. Additionally, while Petal Dance is a move that deals damage to opponent Pokémon while simultaneously recovering ally Pokémon, both its damage and healing output were too high. Therefore, they have been reduced.

Bug Fixes

We have fixed the following bugs:

  • Fixed a bug on the Nintendo Switch version where previously downloaded update data was downloaded again every time the game was launched.
  • Fixed a bug where the search range indicator of the illusory copy created by Meowscarada’s “Double Team” was displayed to Trainers other than oneself.
  • Fixed a bug where hindrance resistance was not applied during the analysis phase of Metagross’s Unite Move: Compute and Crush.
  • Fixed a bug where Urshifu’s “Throat Chop” would unintentionally trigger Duraludon’s “Heavy Metal” ability upon landing.
  • Fixed a bug where there was a discrepancy between the shield duration and the visual effect duration for the shield obtained from Wigglytuff’s “Rollout.”
  • Fixed a bug where Typhlosion’s would become visible while blended into the searing flames of its Unite Move due to status conditions or other effects.
  • Fixed a bug where the cooldown reduction effect for “Fire Punch” when landing a boosted attack was greater than when landing a basic attack on Mega Charizard X.
  • Fixed a bug on Mewtwo X and Mewtwo Y where using another move while using “Psystrike” allowed basic attacks to be performed during the duration of “Psystrike.”
  • Fixed a bug where Mewtwo Y would reappear at the starting point in its Mega Evolved appearance if its Mega gauge became full after being knocked out.
  • Fixed a bug where Inteleon could not target and attack Typhlosion from outside the range of the searing flames when Typhlosion were using its Unite Moves.
  • Fixed a bug where Mega Charizard Y’s goal-charging action was not interrupted even if Articuno’s Unite Move froze the goal area while Mega Charizard Y was scoring.
  • Fixed a bug on Slowbro where HP recovery from “Amnesia” did not get affected by “Cursed Bangle”, “Cursed Incense”, or “Big Root”, resulting in no change to the recovery amount.
  • Fixed a bug where Crustle’s and Duraludon’s “Stealth Rock” would deploy immediately upon contacting the water-filled area created by Suicune’s “Whirlpool.”
  • Fixed a bug under certain conditions where using Articuno’s “Ice Shard” or “Ice Beam” did not correctly reflect the “Camera Follows Moves” in-game setting.
  • Fixed a bug where the held item “Resonant Guard” would unintentionally trigger when Wigglytuff’s “Cute Charm” ability was activated.

Adjustment Details

Changes have been made to some Pokémon stats and moves to adjust the balance of Unite Battles.

【Urshifu (Single Strike Style)】

Wicked Blow

  • Additional damage: 5%〜10% of opponents’ missing HP → 7%〜14% of opponents’ missing HP
    • ※No change to the damage cap against wild Pokémon.

Unite Move: Ebon Fist

  • Damage dealt when a shoved opposing Pokémon hits another opposing Pokémon: 50% increase

To emphasize its characteristic of dealing massive damage with a single strike, the damage of Wicked Blow has been increased. Additionally, the damage dealt when a shoved opposing Pokémon hits another opposing Pokémon during the Unite Move “Ebon Fist” has been increased, providing more tactical options beyond simply throwing the opposing Pokémon.

【Meowscarada】

Double Team

  • Distance the clone travels without searching: 2m → 4m
  • Clone search range: 10m → 5m

Night Slash

  • Damage: Subsequent hits on the same target 50% reduction → 30% reduction
  • HP recovery on basic attacks against marked opponents (1st / 2nd / 3rd+): 100% / 50% / 10% → 100% / 50% / 20%

Since the search range of the clones from “Double Team” was too wide, they often did not move as intended. The move has been adjusted to improve its usability when used to distance oneself from opponents. The damage of “Night Slash” when landing multiple hits and the recovery amount when hitting marked targets with basic attacks has been increased to re-evaluate the risk and reward of sticking close to opponents.

【Metagross】

Meteor Mash

  • Shield amount: 15% increase

Zen Headbutt

  • Damage: 10% increase

Gyro Ball

  • Damage: 10% increase

Unite Move: Compute and Crush

  • Effect added: Now grants hindrance resistance while using the move.

While Metagross showed great tenacity as an All-Rounder, its overall damage output was insufficient, failing to pose a consistent threat to opponents. To address this, its overall damage has been increased. Furthermore, hindrance resistance has been added to its Unite Move “Compute and Crush” to prevent it from being interrupted.

【Pikachu】

Electro Ball

  • Cooldown: 5.5s → 5s
  • Damage: 5% increase

Volt Tackle

  • Damage: 8% increase

Thunderbolt

  • Damage: 10% increase

Unite Move: Thunderstorm

  • Damage: 8% increase

Pikachu has been struggling to perform effectively due to a lack of damage as an Attacker. The damage of its moves overall has been increased to improve its presence in battle.

【Aegislash】

Iron Defense

  • Cooldown: 7s → 6s

Shadow Sneak

  • Cooldown: 6s → 5s
  • Damage: 10% increase

Aegislash’s performance from the early to mid-game was generally weak, often failing to overcome disadvantages even after evolving. The frequency and damage of its pre-evolution moves have been strengthened to ensure a more stable transition into its powerful evolved form.

【Duraludon】

Stats

  • HP: 3200〜5397 → 3200〜6000

Flash Cannon

  • Damage: 10% increase

Unite Move: Revolving Ruin

  • Energy requirement: 120000 → 100000

Duraludon had notably low HP compared to all other Pokémon. Its durability has been increased to better withstand ambushes and adjusted its move damage and frequency for better performance.

【Goodra】

Ability: Gooey

  • Cooldown after effect activation: 12s → 10s

Tackle

  • Cooldown: 10s → 8s

Muddy Water

  • Opponent’s damage reduction rate: 15% → 20%

Unite Move: Right as Rain

  • Recovery amount: 15% increase

To better utilize its tenacity, its overall capabilities have been improved, allowing it to use tall grass for recovery more frequently and stay in the fight longer by lowering opponents’ damage.

【Charizard】

Ability: Blaze

  • Critical hit rate increase when HP is at or below half: 20% → 30%

Unite Move: Seismic Slam

  • HP recovery during the move’s duration: 80% of damage dealt by basic attacks → 60% of damage dealt by basic attacks

The explosive potential of its ability “Blaze” when HP is low has been enhanced to improve its ability to turn the tide of battle. Along with this, the HP recovery during its Unite Move has been adjusted to better balance its overall offensive and defensive capabilities.

【Typhlosion】

Eruption

  • Damage: 5% increase
  • Damage on the same target (1st / 2nd / 3rd+): 100% / 70% / 40% → 100% / 80% / 60%

Since its damage output was slightly lacking, often failing to finish off targets as an Attacker, the overall damage of “Eruption” has been increased.

【Articuno】

Ability: Snow Cloak

  • Movement speed reduction per stack: 15% → 12%

Blizzard

  • Damage: 12% decrease

Unite Move: Ice Wing Whiteout

  • Energy requirement: 80000 → 90000

Articuno’s ability to deal massive damage while simultaneously providing strong hindrance to protect allies or create openings was too powerful. The movement speed reduction from its “Snow Cloak” ability and its move damage and frequency has been adjusted.

【Mega Charizard Y】

Ability: Blaze

  • Attack increase rate: 20% → 8%

Unite Move: Seismic Slam

  • HP recovery during the move’s duration: 80% of damage dealt by basic attacks → 60% of damage dealt by basic attacks

Charizard Y’s ability to safely deal continuous damage while recovering and remaining immune to hindrances was too dominant. To ensure it can be taken down with focused attacks, the recovery from basic attacks during Mega Evolution has been lowered. The Attack increase from “Blaze” has also been lowered as it was too strong for an effect with no cooldown.

【Sirfetch’d】

Leaf Blade

  • Damage: 8% decrease

Detect

  • Cooldown: 8.5s → 9s
  • Shield amount: 23%~26% decrease

Brutal Swing

  • Damage: 15% increase

Its ability to grant itself large shields or invulnerability while frequently dealing high damage was too strong. The shield amount from “Detect” and the damage of “Leaf Blade” has been reduced. Conversely, the damage of “Brutal Swing” has been increased to provide a viable option for poking from a distance before diving in.

【Suicune】

Ice Beam

  • Damage: 8% decrease

Unite Move: Endless Ice Spikes

  • Damage: 8% decrease

Following a previous bug fix, “Ice Beam” began correctly applying cooldown reduction effects, resulting in higher damage than intended. Its damage output has been adjusted accordingly.

【Zapdos】

Discharge

  • Damage: 10% decrease

Unite Move: High-Voltage Siege

  • Energy requirement: 80000 → 90000

Zapdos’s early-game damage was notably high, allowing it to easily secure an early lead. The damage of “Discharge” has been reduced and the energy requirement for “High-Voltage Siege” has been increased due to its powerful goal-disabling effect.

【Inteleon】

Acrobatics

  • Cooldown: 6s → 6.5s

Liquidation

  • Damage: 5% decrease

Inteleon’s ability to consistently deal damage to targeted opponents while moving quickly and frequently was over-performing. The damage of “Liquidation” has been reduced, and the cooldown of “Acrobatics” has been extended.

【Dragapult】

Unite Move: Dreep and Destroy

  • Damage: 8% decrease

Following a previous bug fix, “Dreep and Destroy” began correctly applying cooldown reduction effects, leading to higher damage output than intended. Its damage has been adjusted downwards.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where Sirfetch’d would not correctly upgrade to “Leaf Blade+” if the move was upgraded at the exact moment the first hit of “Leaf Blade” landed.
  • Fixed a bug where Feraligatr’s move cooldown for “Waterfall” was unintentionally reduced twice when hitting an opponent team Pokémon while its ability “Torrent” was active.
  • Fixed a bug where Feraligatr’s dash direction for “Waterfall” would change toward an opponent Pokémon within range if a basic attack was triggered quickly after selecting the second stage of “Crunch” during the dash.
  • Fixed a bug where Feraligatr’s “Waterfall” would not apply hindrance effects if it hit an opponent team Pokémon while the dash distance was below a certain threshold.
  • Fixed a bug where activating Feraligatr’s Unite Move “Big Jaw Bite” during the dash from “Waterfall” would cause the subsequent “Crunch” to activate simultaneously with the Unite Move.
  • Fixed a bug where the tooth icon would remain displayed if Feraligatr hit a Boss Pokémon with “Clamping Fangs” and then followed up with “Destructive Fang” or “Gluttonous Fangs”.
  • Fixed a bug where activating the second stage of Feraligatr’s Unite Move “Big Jaw Bite” against a distant opponent team Pokémon just as the first stage’s effect was ending would cause the first stage to activate again.
  • Fixed a bug where Typhlosion’s “Flame Wheel” would trigger Duraludon’s ability “Heavy Metal” upon landing the first hit.

New Rule: All-Star Draft Pick Arrives!

The new All-Star Draft rule has been added to the custom rules in Tournament Mode!

What is All-Star Draft Pick?

All-Star Draft Pick is a special rule for Best-of-3 or Best-of-5 Unite Battles where any Pokémon that has stepped onto the stadium can no longer participate in subsequent matches, stepping back to cheer on their allies instead. Regardless of which team used them, all 10 Pokémon that gave their all in a match will automatically become unselectable for the rest of the series. This rule requires trusting in a wide variety of Pokémon to secure victory, rather than relying on a select few. The bonds formed through training with various Pokémon will truly shine here, giving every Pokémon the chance to be the star of the show. In All-Star Draft, your ace partner can only be chosen once per series. Will you save them for a crucial moment, or pick them early before the opposing team does? Enjoy the deep strategy of drafting diverse team compositions by fully understanding the unique strengths of each Pokémon.

Setup and Details

How to Apply:

Select a Draft Mode map from Tournament Mode, and turn ON All-Star Draft in the Custom Rules menu.

Auto-Ban Feature:

The 10 Pokémon used in a match cannot be selected by either team during both the Ban and Pick phases of subsequent matches. Example: At the start of Game 3, the 20 Pokémon used in Games 1 and 2, plus the 6 Pokémon newly banned for Game 3, will result in 26 unselectable Pokémon.

Editing the Ban List:

The lobby host has the ability to manually edit and manage the ban list. How to Edit: After saving and closing the Custom Rules menu once, reopen it and click the pen icon that appears to make manual adjustments.

Get ready for unpredictable matches where team rosters change every game! Use your deep knowledge of different Pokémon and the bonds you’ve built to master this highly strategic new mode.

Experience System Adjustment

The range for gaining EXP when assisting in a wild Pokémon KO was too narrow, often resulting in long-range attackers missing out on EXP despite contributing to the KO. To resolve this, the EXP sharing radius from a knocked-out wild Pokémon has been buffed from 6m to 7m.

  • Healing from the leaping attack: 20% Increase

Unite Move: Nightfall Daze

  • Unite Gauge energy required: 90,000 → 80,000 (10% Decrease)

The damage and healing from the leaping attack of Night Slash did not match the difficulty of executing the move. These have been buffed. Additionally, Shadow Claw’s damage has been buffed and its Unite Move energy requirement lowered, reducing the likelihood of Zoroark jumping into the enemy team, failing to secure a KO, and being knocked out in return.

Greninja

Basic Attack

  • Adjustment: When landing basic attacks (including boosted attacks) on wild Pokémon at close range, the damage cap previously applied to the total basic attack damage. This has been changed so the damage cap now applies specifically to the additional damage based on the target’s remaining HP.

Surf

  • Damage: 10% Decrease
  • Healing amount: 8% Decrease

Double Team

  • Illusion damage: 20.5% of Greninja’s damage → 15%

Following previous durability buffs, Greninja was able to secure knockouts with Surf too consistently, leading to an overly high win rate. To balance it against other Pokémon, the damage and healing of Surf, as well as the damage of Double Team, have been nerfed.

Blastoise

Hydro Pump

  • Cooldown: 5.5s → 6s
  • Damage: 8% Decrease

Surf

  • Cooldown: 7s → 7.5s

Blastoise maintained a very high win rate due to its long-lasting crowd control and high damage output, which allowed it to win damage trades too frequently. Its move cooldowns and damage have been nerfed to bring it back in line.

Ceruledge

Bitter Blade

  • Damage: 5% Decrease

Phantom Force+

  • Cooldown: 7s → 8s

The upgraded cooldown for Phantom Force was too short considering the powerful invulnerability it provides, so the cooldown has been nerfed. Additionally, the previous damage buff to Bitter Blade increased its healing too much, making Ceruledge stronger than intended. Its damage has been nerfed slightly to balance this out.

Psyduck

Confusion

  • Cooldown: 6.5s → 7s
  • Hitbox duration: 0.45s → 0.33s

The hitbox for Confusion occasionally lingered and hit opponents even after the move’s visual effects disappeared. The hitbox duration has been nerfed to match the visual effects.

Mega Charizard X

Ability: Solar Power

  • HP Recovery when landing a basic attack on a burned opposing Pokémon: 3% of missing HP → 2%

Ability: Tough Claws

  • HP Recovery when landing a basic attack on a burned opposing Pokémon: 6% of missing HP → 4%

Mega Charizard X’s healing capabilities while Mega Evolved were too high, making it extremely difficult to knock out even when focused by multiple opponents. To balance this against its massive offensive power, its healing has been nerfed.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Zapdos could instantly score twice on a broken goal using its Unite Move.
  • Fixed an issue on the Nintendo Switch version where selecting Move Set 2 in the Draft Mode prep screen prevented Zapdos from learning Thunderbolt and Zap Cannon.
  • Fixed an issue where the pause in movement during evolution was shorter for Empoleon, Vaporeon, and Sirfetch’d compared to other Pokémon.
  • Fixed an issue where Machamp’s Submission did not trigger the effect of Resonant Guard upon hitting an opposing Pokémon.
  • Fixed an issue where Metagross’s Zen Headbutt failed to deal damage or knockback when hitting an opposing Pokémon through a thick wall.

Balance Adjustments

Chandelure

Ability: Infiltrator

  • Special Defense ignored per stack: 2.5% (Max 8 stacks) → 5% (Max 6 stacks)

Flamethrower

  • Damage dealt: 8% Increase

Imprison

  • Cooldown: 9.5s → 8.5s

Chandelure has been struggling to make an impact lately. To boost its overall damage output, the Special Defense-ignoring effect of Infiltrator has been buffed, making it easier to stack while raising its maximum potential. Additionally, to compensate for its low mobility and fragility, the cooldown of Imprison has been lowered to give it more frequent self-defense.

Dragapult

Boosted Attack

  • Damage: 8% Increase

Dragon Dance

  • Basic attack damage during the move: 11% Increase
  • Boosted attack damage during the move: 20% Increase

Shadow Ball

  • HP recovery: 15% of Max HP → 20% of Max HP

Unite Move: Dreep and Destroy

  • Damage: 8% Increase

Dragapult’s overall damage has been buffed to help it better capitalize on its high mobility and strong basic attacks. Furthermore, the HP recovery from Shadow Ball has been increased to better reward outplays when fighting at low health.

Dragonite

Dragon Dance

  • Attack increase per stack: 8% → 10%

Hyper Beam

  • Additional damage with 1 Dragon Dance stack: 5% of target’s Max HP → 6%
  • Additional damage with 2 Dragon Dance stacks: 10% → 12%
  • Additional damage with 3 Dragon Dance stacks: 15% → 18%
  • Note: The damage cap against wild Pokémon remains unchanged.

To ensure Hyper Beam feels like a truly devastating move, its base damage and the Attack boost provided by Dragon Dance have both been buffed.

Venusaur

Sludge Bomb

  • Sp. Def reduction: 40% → 50%

Solar Beam

  • Damage: 8% Increase

Solar Beam+

  • Cooldown: 8s → 7s

Unite Move: Verdant Anger

  • Unite Gauge energy required: 10% Decrease

To allow Venusaur to better utilize its strengths as a long-range attacker, both Solar Beam and Sludge Bomb have been buffed.

Suicune

Stats

  • HP: 3250–6900 → 3250–7200
  • Sp. Def: 60–230 → 70–290

Whirlpool

  • Damage: 10% Increase

Ice Beam

  • Damage: 10% Increase

Suicune was taking too much chip damage from long-range poke, making it difficult to utilize its signature crowd control. To help it trade damage with Sp. Atk-heavy opponents, its Sp. Def and mid-to-long-range damage have been buffed.

Sirfetch’d

Leaf Blade

  • Damage: 10% Decrease

Detect

  • Cooldown: 7s → 8.5s

Brutal Swing

  • Damage: 12% Increase

Following the recent cooldown reduction buff, Sirfetch’d was gaining too much invulnerability in the late game. Detect has been nerfed with a longer cooldown to keep it in check. To balance out its kit, Leaf Blade’s damage has been nerfed, while Brutal Swing has been buffed to make it a more viable option.

Mega Lucario

Close Combat

  • Adjustment: While Mega Evolved, the move’s cooldown is now reduced only when hitting Pokémon from the opposing team.

Mega Lucario’s ability to spam Close Combat on wild Pokémon allowed it to defeat Boss Pokémon far too quickly. The cooldown reduction will now only trigger against opposing Pokémon, keeping its teamfight strength intact while slowing down its speed when taking down Bosses.

Meowth

Feint Attack

  • Shield amount: 15% Decrease

Fury Swipes

  • Cooldown: 5s → 5.5s
  • Damage: 10% Decrease

Unite Move: Gold Coin Barrage

  • Damage: 10% Decrease

Feint Attack and Fury Swipes were dealing too much damage for low-risk, sure-hit moves. Combined with excellent self-sustain, Meowth was simply too safe. To fix its risk-vs-reward ratio, its overall damage and the shielding from Feint Attack have been nerfed.

Zapdos

Zap Cannon

  • Damage: 12% Decrease

Discharge

  • Damage: 15% Decrease

Zapdos has been dominating the early game with Discharge and maintaining too much pressure mid-to-late game with Zap Cannon. Both moves have been nerfed to reduce its damage output.

Vaporeon

Hydro Pump

  • Damage: 12% Decrease

Unite Move: Aquamarine Splash

  • Damage: 10% Decrease

For a Defender specializing in disruption and setting up plays, Vaporeon was dealing entirely too much damage. Its Unite Move and Hydro Pump have been nerfed accordingly.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Meowth’s Feint Attack+ triggered twice upon dealing damage.
  • Fixed an issue where the cooldown of Mega Gyarados’s Waterfall was shorter than Gyarados.
  • Fixed an issue where cooldown reduction effects were not applying to Dragapult’s Unite Move, Meowth’s Pay Day, Suicune’s Ice Beam, and Suicune’s Icy Wind.
  • Fixed an issue where the cooldown reduction for Zapdos’s Thunderbolt+ failed to trigger upon knocking out an opposing Pokémon.

Unite Move: Firebird Inferno

  • Damage: Decreased by 50%.

We have observed that Moltres currently possesses damage output and healing capabilities that far exceed those of other Pokémon, significantly impacting the overall competitive balance. To adjust the balance of Unite Battles, some Pokémon stats and moves have been changed.

Balance Adjustments

Gardevoir

Confusion

  • Damage: 15% increase

Psychic

  • Movement speed decrease: 50% → 60%

Moonblast

  • Time opponent is left unable to act: 1.2s → 1.6s

Since all of Gardevoir’s moves require targeting a specific location or direction, the hindrance effects of Psychic and Moonblast have been strengthened to match the risk of missing. Additionally, the damage of Confusion has been increased to improve stability in the early game.

Greninja

Stats

  • HP: 3000–5420 → 3200–6000
  • Sp. Def: 30–149 → 64–240

Boosted Attack

  • Damage: 8% increase

Bubble

  • Damage: 10% increase

Smokescreen

  • Cooldown: 13s → 12s
  • Movement speed increase: 10% → 30%

Greninja’s durability was extremely low, making it difficult to perform well, especially between levels 5 and 7. Stats have been improved to increase survivability so Greninja can actively participate even in chaotic team fights, and its mobility and damage from the mid-game onward have been raised.

Cinderace

Ability: Blaze

  • Damage: 17% increase

Boosted Attack

  • Damage: 8% increase

Ember

  • Damage: 15% increase

Low Sweep

  • Cooldown: 7.5s → 7s

To allow Cinderace to better unleash its explosive power as an ace striker expected in the late game, the Pokémon’s damage capabilities and mobility from the early to mid-game have been strengthened.

Latios

Draco Meteor

  • Damage of the second and subsequent meteors: 30% of the first meteor’s damage → 50%

Unite Move: Infinite Strike

  • Required Energy: 100,000 → 90,000 (10% decrease)

Even when accumulating a lot of Eon power on the Draco Meteor, the low damage of the second and subsequent meteors often resulted in situations where Latios could not perform well. The damage of the second and subsequent meteors has been increased to allow Latios to utilize its characteristic of infinite growth.

Garchomp

Ability: Rough Skin

  • Cooldown after triggering: 2s → 0.6s
  • Reflected damage ratio: 30% → 12.5%

Dragon Rush

  • Damage reduction effect: 30% → 45%

Unite Move: Livid Outrage

  • Damage: 8% increase

Garchomp’s durability when approaching opponents and its ability to finish them off have been strengthened. Furthermore, the effects of the Rough Skin have been enhanced to allow Garchomp to fight back better against melee Pokémon.

Sirfetch’d

Stats

  • Cooldown reduction: 0 → 5% (at Lv. 5), 0 → 10% (at Lv. 9)

Fury Cutter

  • Mechanic Change: If interrupted, the remaining cooldown is now reduced by 50%.

Since the cooldown of Sirfetch’d’s moves in the late game was long compared to other Pokémon, making it difficult to be effective, the cooldown reduction from its stats has been increased. Additionally, because the risk was extremely high when Fury Cutter was interrupted, an effect has been added to partially reduce the cooldown when interrupted.

Cramorant

Ability: Gulp Missile

  • Mechanic Change: Can now move while catching an Arrokuda.

Hurricane

  • Mechanic Change: Added an effect that increases attack speed by 40% for 3 seconds after use.

Air Slash

  • Damage: 10% increase
  • Cooldown reduction on hit: 5% → 8%

Air Slash+

  • Recovery amount: 10% increase

Unite Move: Gatling Gulp Missile

  • Damage: 12% increase

As Cramorant’s ability to deal damage to opponents was weak compared to other Attackers, leading to a continued lack of effectiveness in the current environment, its overall damage has been increased. Additionally, the vulnerability window when catching Arrokuda has been reduced.

Mega Gyarados

Dragon Breath

  • Basic attack damage after hitting: 10% decrease
  • Attack speed increase: 40%/55%/70% → 30%/40%/50% (varies by number of targets hit)
  • Automatic attack damage while Mega Evolved: 15% decrease

Waterfall

  • Cooldown: 6s → 7s
  • Damage: 15% decrease

Unite Move: Dragon Current

  • Mega Evolution duration: 20s → 15s

To suppress Mega Gyarados’s overwhelming power when Mega Evolved, its damage capabilities and the duration of the Mega Evolution have been reduced. Additionally, since its mobility, durability, and damage were all too strong even when not Mega Evolved, downward adjustments have been made focusing on the damage and usage frequency of Waterfall.

Gyarados

Dragon Breath

  • Basic attack damage after hitting: 10% decrease
  • Attack speed increase: 40%/55%/70% → 30%/40%/50% (varies by number of targets hit)

Waterfall

  • Cooldown: 6s → 7s
  • Damage: 15% decrease

Similar to Mega Gyarados, Gyarados’s mobility, durability, and damage were all too strong overall, so downward adjustments have been made focusing on the damage and usage frequency of Waterfall.

Mega Charizard Y

Flamethrower

  • Movement speed increase while Mega Evolved: 15% → 10%

Unite Move: Earth Crusher

  • Required Energy: 100,000 → 110,000 (10% increase)
  • Mega Evolution duration: 20s → 15s
  • Movement speed increase: 30% → 10%

Due to Mega Charizard Y’s overwhelming mobility when Mega Evolved, its ability to deal damage one-sidedly from a safe distance was too strong. By lowering mobility, duration, and frequency while Mega Evolved, and limiting the time Mega Charizard Y can display this powerful performance, the balance between risk and return has been adjusted.

Blastoise

Surf

  • Damage: 15% decrease
  • Shield amount: 15% decrease

Unite Move: Hydro Typhoon

  • Required Energy: 80,000 → 90,000 (12.5% increase)

Blastoise’s ability to deal significant damage to opposing Pokémon while gaining high durability was too strong, so downward adjustments have been made, primarily to Surf.

Mimikyu

Stats

  • HP: 3300–7800 → 3300–7200

Shadow Sneak

  • Cooldown: 9s → 9.5s
  • Additional damage: 6% of opponent’s missing HP → 4%

Unite Move: Play with Me…

  • Damage: 8% decrease

Due to Mimikyu’s high mobility and powerful additional damage based on the opponent’s missing HP, there were many situations where targeted opponents could not escape. Mimikyu’s damage has been reduced, and its durability has also been lowered to create room for targeted opponents to counterattack.

Mewtwo Y

Psystrike

  • Damage: 10% decrease

Teleport

  • Cooldown: 10s → 12s
  • Movement speed increase: 30% → 15%

With outstanding mobility and high damage capabilities, Mewtwo Y continued to safely launch powerful attacks from a distance one-sidedly. By reviewing the mobility and cooldown of Teleport, an opening has been created to allow opposing Pokémon to counterattack, adjusting the balance between risk and return.

Scizor

Dual Wingbeat (Scyther)

  • Recovery amount: 15% decrease
  • Additional damage of the second hit: 20% of opponent’s missing HP → 15%

Unite Move: Green Star Dive (Scyther)

  • Damage: 10% decrease

Scyther’s one-sided KO capability through powerful burst damage was too strong, so adjustments have been made to slightly curb its damage.

Dhelmise

Anchor Shot

  • Mechanic Change: Changed so that it no longer leaves opponents in a Hindrance Resistant state unable to act, nor does it pull them.

Dhelmise’s performance in being able to pull in opposing Pokémon even when they were in a Hindrance Resistant state was too strong, so this specification has been changed.

Zapdos

Unite Move: High-Voltage Siege

  • Number of lightning strikes: 10 → 7
  • Interval between lightning strikes: 0.5s → 1s
  • Damage per lightning strike: 120% increase

The frequency of lightning strikes from Zapdos’s Unite Move was too high, making the ability to easily render goals defenseless too strong. The number and frequency of lightning strikes have been reduced, and adjustments have been made to keep the total damage—including that from the generated electric fields—consistent.

Bug Fixes

The following bugs have been fixed.

  • Fixed a bug where Zapdos’s empowered Zap Cannon was dealing unintended damage.
  • Fixed a bug where Umbreon would obtain a shield amount greater than the absorbed amount when using its Unite Move to absorb an opponent Pokémon’s shield.
  • Fixed a bug where Espeon’s Stored Power empowered by Future Sight and normal Stored Power could be used simultaneously.
  • Fixed a bug where the icon frames for Ranked Match Series 33 rewards and Ranked Match Series 34 rewards had the same design.
  • Fixed a bug in Solo Mode’s Boss Rush stage where the boss Pokémon would grow stronger every time the same stage was cleared.
  • Fixed a bug in some Quick Battles where the “START” button could not be pressed, preventing battles from taking place.
  • Fixed a bug in Tournament Mode where the move sets of Pokémon not owned could not be configured, even when the custom rule “Unlock All Unite Licenses” was set.
  • [Fixed Feb 28] Fixed a bug on the Nintendo Switch version’s Pokémon roster screen where changing Urshifu’s move set was not immediately reflected.
  • [Fixed Feb 28] Fixed a bug where the game would lag when the cream from Alcremie’s Recover disappeared.
  • [Fixed Feb 28] Fixed a bug where players would become unable to learn new moves during battle under certain conditions.

Update Details

  • Game Stability Improvements
  • Balance Adjustments
  • Bug Fixes

Game Stability Improvements

In this update, we have implemented fixes to optimize processing logic and reduce the load in areas where data processing was exceeding device memory capacity. While we have observed performance improvements in our development environment, we will continue to closely monitor the live environment following this update. We remain committed to further improvements to ensure stability.

Resumption of Draft Pick

We plan to resume Draft Pick in Ranked Matches as soon as we confirm the game’s stability in the live environment following this update.

Recommendations for Smoother Gameplay

Game performance may slow down depending on device memory usage, particularly during long play sessions or when multiple apps are running in the background. To ensure the best performance and smoother battles, we recommend restarting the app periodically. We appreciate your cooperation in doing so between matches or if you notice any sluggishness.

Balance Adjustments

To adjust the balance of Unite Battles, Pokémon stats and moves have been changed.

Meowth

Feint Attack

  • Damage: 26%–32% decrease
  • Shield effect: 18%–22% decrease

Fury Swipes

  • Cooldown reduction for Payback and Feint Attack per damage hit: 15% → 7.5%

The damage and shield effect of Feint Attack, which allows Meowth to jump at opponents from a distance and attack, were too high. Combined with the ability to significantly reduce cooldowns using Fury Swipes, its damage output, mobility, and durability were all too strong. To balance it with other Pokémon, the damage and shield of Feint Attack have been reduced, and the cooldown reduction effect from Fury Swipes has been lowered.

Bug Fixes

The following bug has been fixed.

  • Fixed a bug where Empoleon’s attacks would not hit Darkrai during the duration of Darkrai’s Unite Move.

Pokémon Unite – Ver. ??? (Indomitable Spirit)

  • Release date: January 21st/22nd 2026 at 10PM PT / 1AM ET / 6AM GMT / 7AM CET / 3PM JST
  • Platforms: Nintendo Switch, Mobile (Android, iOS)

Garchomp

Stats

  • HP: 3050–7750 → 3300–8150
  • Defense: 90–472 → 98–520
  • Sp. Def: 67–367 → 86–410
  • Critical-Hit Rate (at Lv. 5): 5% → 7.5%
  • Critical-Hit Rate (at Lv. 9): 10% → 15%

There were many situations where Garchomp would have its HP whittled down and be knocked out by long-range attacks before it could reach opposing Pokémon. Its durability and critical-hit rate after leveling up have been increased to make it easier to close the distance and pose a greater threat once close.

Ceruledge

Ability: Weak Armor

  • Continuous damage: 33% increase

Phantom Force

  • Cooldown: 10s → 9s
  • Damage: 8% increase

Bitter Blade

  • Damage: 10% increase

Although Ceruledge could handle sustained combat as an All-Rounder, its lack of damage output often made it difficult to finish off opponents, limiting its effectiveness. Its overall damage capabilities have been strengthened.

Tinkaton

Boosted Attack

  • Recovery amount: 20% increase

Ice Hammer

  • Damage: 25% increase
  • Slow effect on opponent: Changed from 50% flat to 70%, decaying by 10% every 0.5s.

Smack Down

  • Movement speed decrease on self: 50% → 30%
  • Cooldown: 6.5s → 6s

Unite Move: Kiss Bliss Kaboom

  • Damage: 8% increase

Even after forging its hammer, Tinkaton remained difficult to hit opponents with moves, making it hard to perform well in the late game. The usability of its moves has been improved overall, and the damage of Ice Hammer and its Unite Move has been increased. Tinkaton should now be able to perform well from the mid-game onwards if played skillfully.

Trevenant

Wood Hammer

  • Cooldown: 9s → 8s
  • Damage: 10% increase

By reducing the cooldown and increasing the damage of Wood Hammer, Trevenant’s ability as a Defender to protect allies from enemy attacks has been strengthened.

Darkrai

Dark Void

  • Cooldown: 6s → 5s

Nasty Plot

  • Damage: 15% increase

Shadow Claw

  • Damage during Dark Pulse: 10% increase

Unite Move: Worst Nightmare

  • Required energy: 100,000 → 90,000 (10% decrease)

Following the previous balance adjustment, including the difficulty of putting opponents to sleep, Darkrai became hard to use for anyone other than expert players. Adjustments have been made to make it easier for trainers other than experts to deal damage.

Psyduck

Disable

  • Damage: 15% increase
  • Number of times it spreads to the same opponent: 1 time → 2 times

Psychic

  • Cooldown: 7.5s → 6.5s

Unite Move: Full-Power Psy-ay-ay!

  • Damage reduction effect: 25% → 30%

Psyduck’s hindrance capability against opponents was weak in the current environment, leading to continued underperformance. Its hindrance capabilities against opponents have been strengthened overall.

Charizard

Flamethrower

  • Damage: 12% increase

Unite Move: Seismic Slam

  • Flight duration: 8s → 10s

To emphasize Charizard’s characteristic sustained combat capability, its ability to deal damage from a distance and the duration of the buff effect after its Unite Move have been strengthened.

Galarian Rapidash

Dazzling Gleam

  • Damage: 7.5% increase

Agility

  • Movement speed increase: 5%–80% → 20%–80%

As a Speedster, Galarian Rapidash’s damage output was insufficient, and the long vulnerability window before reaching maximum speed made it difficult to perform well. The initial movement speed boost immediately after using Agility and its damage capabilities have been increased.

Comfey

Floral Healing

  • Recovery amount: 6%–14% increase

Magical Leaf

  • Cooldown: 10s → 9s

Comfey’s healing for allies and hindrance capability against opponents were weak in the current environment. To better assist allies who excel at sustained combat and allow Comfey to perform better, Floral Healing’s recovery has been increased and Magical Leaf’s cooldown has been reduced.

Zacian

Unite Move: Sovereign Sword

  • Effect changed: Unstoppable → Hindrance Resistant

The ability to time its Unite Move from a safe, Unstoppable state to deal massive damage and secure important wild Pokémon was too strong. The Unstoppable effect during its Unite Move has been changed to Hindrance Resistance.

Blaziken

Overheat

  • Effect changed: Unstoppable → Hindrance Resistant

The ability to time Overheat from a safe, Unstoppable state to deal massive damage and secure important wild Pokémon was too strong. The Unstoppable effect during Overheat has been changed to Hindrance Resistance.

Mega Gyarados

Ability: Mold Breaker

  • Attack increase on self: 25% → 10%
  • Defense/Sp. Def increase on self: 30% → 10%

Waterfall (Mega)

  • Cooldown reduction on hit: 30% → 10%

It was strengthened in both offense and durability after Mega Evolving, often leading to situations where it could wipe out the opposing team one-sidedly with no counterplay. The stat boosts after Mega Evolving have been lowered so that it can be taken down if opponents focus their attacks. Additionally, since it could use Waterfall repeatedly after Mega Evolving, gaining high mobility and shields that made it difficult to counter, the cooldown reduction effect upon hitting Waterfall has been reduced.

Mega Charizard Y

Flamethrower

  • Damage: 12% increase

Unite Move: Seismic Slam

  • Shield amount on activation: 20% of max HP → 10% of max HP
  • Movement speed increase on activation: 50% → 30%

After using its Unite Move and Mega Evolving, Mega Charizard Y gained Hindrance Resistance, allowing it to attack while ignoring obstacles. Combined with the shield and movement speed boost, it was difficult for the opposing team to counter by focusing attacks. The buff effects upon activating the Unite Move have been reduced to make it possible to counter with focused attacks.

Mewtwo X

Stats

  • Attack: 210–540 → 190–520

Teleport

  • Damage increase effect: 20% → 10%

Teleport+

  • Damage increase effect: 30% → 20%

Future Sight

  • Damage taken increase: 20% → 10%
  • Cooldown: 9s → 10s

Future Sight+

  • Damage taken increase: 30% → 20%

Mewtwo’s ability to deal burst damage had become higher than its sustained combat capability. Its overall damage capabilities have been reduced to allow it to function better as a balanced All-Rounder.

Glaceon

Icicle Spear

  • Cooldown: 5s → 6s
  • Damage: 8% decrease

Unite Move: Glacial Stage

  • Required energy: 90,000 → 100,000 (11% increase)

Glaceon’s damage output was a cut above other Attackers, and due to previous durability buffs, it could deal damage one-sidedly without being knocked out. To balance it with other Attackers, Icicle Spear’s damage has been reduced, and the energy required for its Unite Move has been slightly increased.

Scizor

Basic Attack

  • Defense increase from boosted attacks: 50% → 40%

Swords Dance

  • Attack increase on self: 20% → 15%

The Defense increase when hitting multiple boosted attacks was high, making it too strong against Pokémon that rely on physical damage. The Defense increase from boosted attacks and the Attack increase from Swords Dance have been reduced.

Vaporeon

Muddy Water

  • Cooldown: 8.5s → 9s
  • Damage: 15% decrease

Flip Turn

  • Damage: 15% decrease
  • Shield amount: 15% decrease

Possessing powerful hindrance capability, damage output, and durability, Vaporeon’s win rate has remained extremely high. While maintaining its hindrance capability as a Defender, its damage against opponents and self-shielding effects have been reduced to balance it with other Defenders.

Latias

Dragon Pulse

  • Cooldown: 6s → 6.5s
  • Recovery amount: 10% decrease

Addressing Game Stability

We have confirmed an issue where the app crashes, primarily before the start of battles in Draft Mode. Upon investigation, we have determined that this issue is caused by complex factors affecting a wide range of the program.

In this update, we have implemented fixes aimed at improving stability. While we anticipate that these measures will improve the situation, we are continuing our investigation and correction efforts towards a fundamental solution.

We deeply apologize to all Trainers for the significant inconvenience and trouble this has caused.

Additions Regarding Teamplay and Communication

New Feature: Re-Unite is here!

Introducing “Re-Unite,” a new feature that lets you play again with the same team!

Teammates who press the “Rematch with This Team” button on the results screen will be automatically grouped together to proceed to the next battle.

Additionally, you can check the status of each teammate above the “Rematch with This Team” button:

  • Green Circle: Indicates the teammate is reviewing the results.
  • Green Check: Indicates the teammate has pressed the “Retry with this team” button.
  • Red X: Indicates the teammate is offline or has moved to another screen.

Praise Teammates with Quick Chat!

Quick Chat is now available in the lobby screen! We have also added new phrases to praise your team:

  • Thanks, everyone! We won!
  • Well played! Taking notes!
  • Thanks for the support! You’re the true MVP!

Voice Chat Invitations

In Ranked Matches at Master Rank or higher, you can now invite matched teammates to join Voice Chat using the microphone button on the Pokémon selection screen.

Super Magikarp Splash Begins!

From January 15th to January 28th, “Super Magikarp Splash” will be added to Casual Battles, where only Gyarados and Mega Gyarados licenses can be selected. Play during the event period to get Gold Emblems!

Electrode Volleyball Returns!

Electrode Volleyball is back! It has now been added to Quick Battles so everyone can enjoy this mode anytime.

Draft Mode Update

In Draft Mode, visibility has been improved so you can now check the pick order (First Pick / Second Pick).

Bug Fixes

We have fixed the following issues:

  • Fixed an issue where the first stage of Pawmot’s Thunder Dive could be used even if Pawmot was immobilized.
  • Fixed an issue where the lightbulb icon was not displayed when the effect of the Held Item “Exp. Share” was active.
  • Fixed an issue with Gyarados where attempting to aim Dragon Breath in a specific direction during Waterfall would result in the move activating in the direction of movement instead.
  • Fixed an issue where bonus points were incorrectly awarded when a Legend Rank player engaged in a Ranked Match with a Master Rank player.
