Pokémon news (May 29th) – Pokémon Shuffle: Mega Venusaur challenge, more
Pokémon Shuffle
Today, a new timed challenge for Pokémon Shuffle has gone live, featuring Mega Venusaur. If you rank among the top 10,000 players in Europe, 20,000 players in North America and 50,000 players in Japan, you can get a Venusaurite. If not, you will simply receive a Jewel as consolation prize. You have until June 8th (5AM UTC) to try and get the best score possible.
And on Saturday, a new challenge for Pokémon Shuffle, featuring Victini, will go live: it will be available every Saturday for the next few weeks. It allows you to get some extra XP easily, but only once per day.
Also, a special promotion has gone live in Japan: if you purchase some Jewels in the shop before June 10th (3PM UTC), you can get 6 extra Jewels.
Battle Competition
Yesterday, the Pokémon Company announced a new Battle Competition for Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire. It’s called 2015 International Challenge June, and here are its rules:
– Double Battle
– National Pokédex only, without the usual Legendaries
You get 1 000 PokéMiles as a reward for participating, but if you rank among the top 256 players, you will receive Championship Points (so you can quality for the 2015 Pokémon World Championships). Registration period runs from June 18th to June 25th, while the competition itself runs from June 26th to June 28th.
Shiny Charizard
After several other European countries, it’s the Netherlands’ turn to get the Shiny Charizard event. To get your download code, you will have to visit one of the Gamesmania stores across the country. The event runs from June 1st to June 21st.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U / Nintendo 3DS
A quick reminder for European players: you have until May 30th, 11.59PM (10.59PM if you live in the UK) to redeem your download code for Mewtwo, received from Club Nintendo.
