Fixed a bug where the center fielder could flicker while batting.
Adjustments made to Depth of Field hitting (background blur) camera to improve framerates.

Gameplay:

Fixed a bug where batters were avoiding pitches that were relatively close to the strike zone.
Fixed issue where runners could advance to next base on check swing appeals.
Fixed issue where batters swing timing would not display in swing feedback while pitching.
Fixed a rare issue on substitutions where sometimes the wrong player would appear.

Co-op:

Fixed front end Co-Op issue where you could occasionally load in with an MLB team you did not select.

Franchise:

Updated offseason contract offers to show a custom logo rather than MLB original logo when playing with a customized team.
Made Overall more visible on the Trade Alert popup.
Added Prospect Rank to the Trade Alert popup.
Improved button prompts on the Trade Alert popup to be contextual based on whether or not the user is still simulating.
Added new Trade Feedback messaging for specific situations.
Fixed bug in Player Search where searching for certain pitches would give inaccurate results.
Updated expected AAVs for starting pitchers and outfielders to fix inflated contracts.
Fixed a bug in depth chart where trade could be initiated for non-user teams.
Fixed a bug that could spoil generational talent players when scouting prospects.
Replaced press-and-hold to skip intro video, to help prevent users from accidentally skipping.

Road To The Show:

Fixed a bug where minor league teams could be wearing the Baltimore Orioles uniforms incorrectly.
Fixed a bug where fourth perk upgrades were not working as intended.
Fixed a crash that could occur when advancing to the regular season as a two-way player in AAA.

Diamond Dynasty:

Fixed an issue where pitchers would have 3 inning energy in 9 inning games.
Fixed a bug where users were unable to exit out of the WBC bracket in Mini Seasons.
Comparison checkmarks will now be accurate when changing players in the My Squad tab.
Fixed various issues with “generate best lineup” in My Squad.
Fixed an issue that would occasionally cause a server error when matchmaking in H2H matches.
Fixed an issue where occasionally a user wouldn’t advance to the semifinals correctly after winning a quarterfinals game in Mini Seasons.
Fixed an issue where a completed collection wouldn’t show as completed after a roster update.

Various fixes to attribute carousel displays
Fixed the flickering on players in presentations.
Fixed a bug that caused light strobing in pre-game intro presentations.

Gameplay:

Fixed an issue where pitchers’ velocity in the front end could differ from their in-game velocities.
Fixed an issue with the pulse pitching display where the outer ring would not shrink to the size of the inner ring.
Fixed issue where steal opportunities would not happen when player locked as a catcher if Catcher Opportunities were set to Impact Plays.

Diamond Dynasty:

Fixed a crash that could occur in Classic Mode Mini Seasons.
Users will now be brought back to the program of a completed moment after the moment is completed.

Updated trade block logic so the CPU will not place players on the trade block if:
- They have more than 5 years remaining on their contract, or
- They were recently signed and are in the first year of a contract with a term of 4+ years.
Fixed a bug where the cursor could temporarily disappear when navigating around Trade Hub screens.
Fixed an issue where duplicate “Player No Longer in Organization” popups would display after Trade Alert popups. This should avoid spoilers with trades.
Optimization and stability fixes.

Road To The Show:

A few bug fixes for dialog scenes.
Corrected a post-game recap visual issue.
Adjustments made to the rewards for the Amateur and MLB Draft goals.
Corrected an issue where Season Goal Select would overlap other text on the screen.

How to download updates for MLB The Show 26 on Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for MLB The Show 26, you have three options:

let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
