Fire Emblem Fates: new character profiles, more details from Famitsu magazine

New characters

Yesterday, Nintendo updated the official website for Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Conquest, adding some new character profiles. Two of them are brand new, and weren’t featured in Famitsu magazine in the past:

Asama (a Priest): a man with an affable and gentle personality, and one of Hinoka’s subordinates. He seems to be a rather examplary priest, but it’s actually quite hard to tell what goes on in his head, due to his aloofness. He’s known for showing off a sharp tongue on occasion.

Setsuna (a Bowman): she’s one of Hinoka’s subordinates. She’s a pretty quiet and clumsy person, who talks very little and is totally oblivious to sarcasm. During her spare time, she does nothing by daydream and shoot things down with her bow.

You will find the new details from Famitsu after the break!

Famitsu

This week, most of the information about Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Conquest in Famitsu magazine is a repeat of previous articles. That being said, there’s some interesting tidbits here and there, including a relationship chart. It confirms that Aqua is actually Garon’s daughter (the King of Nohr). It also indicates that Garon and Mikoto, the rulers of Nohr and Hoshido respectively, will play a major role in both storylines.

Famitsu magazine also confirms that support conversation are indeed back (no real surprise here), and are apparently unique. There’s also some additional details about the Fire Emblem amiibo, which can also unlock special items: one of the screenshots show the player receiving Marth’s Tiara.

Next: Sakura, which seems to be a really useful character. Not only her healing powers are quite remarkable, but thanks to her personal skill, all allies within a 2-tiles radius get -2 in Damage received.

Finally, we have some details about the Fire Emblem 0 TCG card included with the first-print copies of the game:

– Lucina (illustration by toi8) for all first-print copies of the game;
– Marth (illustration by Daisuke Izuka) for all copies of the Limited Edition.

Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Conquest (3DS) comes out on June 25th in Japan, and next year in Europe and North America.
