Gameplay

Attacking

  • Further reduced the accuracy of Acrobatic shots taken right after a flick.
  • Slightly increased frequency of AI teammate attacking runs into the box.
  • Strikers were sometimes not supporting counter attacks after making a pass.
  • Wingers could have sometimes dropped back during attacks instead of running into open space.

Defending

  • Slightly reduced how tightly AI defenders will mark pass receivers on the edge of their box.
  • Improved defensive man marking during short corners.
  • Improved through passing and crossing to better respect your aim input.

Goalkeeping

  • Goalkeepers were sometimes punching on crosses when it would’ve been more beneficial to catch the ball.
  • Improved goalkeeper logic when determining if they should dive at the ball when a dribbler is nearby.
  • Improved instances of the goalkeeper overcommitting to one side when attempting to save a first time far post shot.
  • Remapping controls will no longer affect Be A Goalkeeper default inputs.
  • Known Issue: remapped controls may incorrectly display on the Be A Goalkeeper UI, this is a visual issue only.
  • CPU AI goalkeepers could’ve sometimes taken unnecessary touches instead of passing the ball.

Other

  • Addressed cases of the Player Indicator not displaying correctly.
  • Improved Player Switching input accuracy in some cases.
  • Addressed instances of the ball incorrectly bouncing off the player’s leg when requesting a shot.
  • Sometimes a requested shot could’ve resulted in the player performing a sliding shot when it wasn’t necessary.
  • When calling a teammate short, the called player could’ve become unresponsive during set pieces.
  • Improved referee logic when calling fouls for physical contact from behind.
  • Addressed instances of Directed Runs not following the requested input correctly.
  • In some cases, a requested pass to the keeper could’ve resulted in an unintended header if the ball was slightly in the air.
  • [Competitive Gameplay Only] Removed cases of a player becoming unresponsive during an animation where they looked like they were out of breath.
  • In rare cases, a deflected ball could have passed through the goalkeeper’s chest.
  • The Teammate Contain Indicator could’ve incorrectly displayed on user-controlled players in Clubs matches. This was a visual issue only.
  • Addressed cases of Player Switching not working as intended during airball situations.
  • Addressed instances of user-controlled players not moving towards the ball following a deflection.
  • In rare situations the ball carrier would not perform a requested shot.
  • Addressed rare cases of pass receivers moving in an unintended direction before the pass is made.
  • Shield requests could have sometimes resulted in shielding taking place too far from the opponent.
  • Addressed instances of animations playing out incorrectly.

Ultimate Team

Made the following updates:

  • Added ability to View Available Evolutions for a selected Player Item.
  • After selecting the Actions menu on a Player Item you’re interested in upgrading, you can view a filtered Evolution menu showing the specific Evolutions your Player Item is eligible for.
  • This change will be activated through a Server Release shortly after the Title Update.

Addressed the following issues:

  • Using Claim All on a favourited Objective Group could have caused the group to be removed from favourites.
  • Updated pack opening walkout logic to reduce instances of lower rated Player Items walking out when higher rated ones were available.
  • A visual issue could have occurred when entering Rivals, showing rewards for a previously earned bounty.
  • Addressed instances of overlapping text and UI elements in Evolutions and Objectives menus.
  • The Squad Battles leaderboard incorrectly displayed the top 200 UI indicator for all ranks.
  • In Rush matches, the Connection Monitoring Ping UI indicator could have incorrectly shown 0ms.
  • In certain situations, the FC Hub could have overlapped with the UT menus.
  • In offline Ultimate Draft, the home kit for CPU teams were using placeholder kits.
  • After a Moment had been completed, button callouts could have become unresponsive until the Advance option appeared.
  • It was not possible to see what was being highlighted when trying to sort in the Player Performance post-match screen.
  • On some occasions, trophies could have appeared on the corner flag in Gauntlet matches.
  • Added time was not always showing on the scoreboard in Ultimate Draft matches.
  • Transfer Market search filters displayed as text only instead of including the corresponding UI indicator.
  • In Squad Battles, unplayed matches displayed -1 score when selecting a team to play against.
  • Evolution progress UI indicators did not always display correctly in Rush lobbies, this was a visual issue only.
  • The SP UI indicator did not always show the correct number, this was a visual issue only.
  • In some specific cases, Attribute increases in Evolution Previews were not highlighted by the UI.
  • The Objectives menu tile did not always display the button callout for toggling between tiles.
  • The PlayStyle+ Player Item UI indicator could have been cut off on the first Transfer Market Search Result.
  • Addressed cases of the UI not displaying correctly when browsing through Evolution Objectives.

Clubs

Made the following updates:

  • Revised the Rush introduction to show the Goalkeeper Archetype when controlled by a player.
  • Added an option in the Visual Settings Menu to reduce the number of player indicators displayed in Clubs to Local Player & Teammates Only, or to Local Player Only.

Addressed the following issues:

  • Sometimes, AI goalkeepers would not attempt to dive on penalty shots in Clubs matches.
  • When entering a drop in match, the position assigned did not always suit the Archetype of your Pro.
  • In certain situations an error could have occurred when attempting to join the lobby for a League Match.
  • Addressed a visual only issue where incorrect Attribute increases could have appeared on the Pro when entering the Clubs store.
  • Matchmaking options were not showing when in Club Settings.
  • In certain situations a Rush match did not start after the match found message appeared.
  • Addressed instances of the Clubs Coin UI displaying incorrect numbers following a specific flow, this was a visual issue only.
  • The Player Debut scoreboard element could have incorrectly displayed when a player wasn’t debuting.
  • The scroll bar on the Objectives screen did not always display as intended.
  • Addressed instances of Pro customization not saving in certain scenarios.
  • When unlocking an Archetype, the Pro could have been shown with an incorrect kit.
  • Addressed an issue that could have allowed Clubs matches to be started with all Facilities enabled.

Career Mode

Made the following updates:

  • When viewing Injuries in Team Management, you can now see a banner appearing on the right, showing the duration, reason and  also severity of the injury.
  • Added ability to save default kit during match day kit selection.
  • When Deeper Simulation is on during the creation of a new save but no leagues are selected, the corresponding pop up will provide the option to start without Deep Sim.

Addressed the following issues:

  • Contract requests for players on a one year contract could have triggered earlier than intended.
  • If a Manager ignored a player’s request for a contract renewal, the player could have instantly requested a transfer.
  • In some cases, a youth player could not be signed if the budget was initially emptied and then grown once more.
  • Board expectations could have displayed for multiple competitions despite the club only being able to compete in one of them at a time.
  • Clean sheet stats would incorrectly show for outfield players when viewing Player Stats.
  • An incorrect error message could have appeared when loading a Career Mode save file.
  • If searching for a player from another team, an incorrect club could have been listed on the search results
  • Created player facial features could have been unintentionally exaggerated.
  • Some button callouts were not easily visible when HDR was on.
  • Players with low appearance counts could have appeared in top average rating lists.
  • Points Deductions in Live Start Points could have incorrectly doubled.
  • The Player widget could have sometimes disappeared in Player Career.
  • The number of players on international duty did not always display correctly.
  • Addressed a case of a specific flow resulting in the transactions screen becoming non functional.

General, Audio, and Visual

Made the following updates:

  • Updated the Season Pass Bundle and Multi Reward UI:
  • Bundle reward previews now display all included items as small images on the right side when hovered over.
  • Multi reward previews now show a list of small item images on the right side when hovered over.
  • Added SP requirement UI indicator on Season Pass reward previews.
  • Updated some text, star heads, hair, 2D Portraits, tattoos, kits, crests, stadiums, tifos, banners, flags, scarves, props, trophies, ad boards, overlays, skill games, cinematics, cameras, commentary, audio, credits, and placeholder images.

Addressed the following issues:

  • Addressed instances of incorrect/placeholder text, button callouts, and incorrect UI elements.
  • When entering the FC Hub, the Season Track was showing the first level by default instead of displaying the last earned level.
  • After editing a national team’s roster it was not possible to change players for the edited team.
  • Addressed instances of incorrect gameplay and cinematic camera angles and animations.
  • End of match player ratings did not always display correctly.
  • A Playtime message could have incorrectly displayed when entering crossplay settings.

EA SPORTS FC 26 – Ver. 1.1.3

Driven by your Career Mode feedback, we’re updating CPU AI decision making with the intent of making it challenging and engaging to play against, especially on higher difficulties.

The CPU AI will now aim to:

  • Look for passes more often and make quicker decisions about them.
  • Dribble more effectively with sharper turns, less straightforward movement, and less dwelling on the ball.
  • Switch players on defense more often in situations where trailing the runner is not beneficial.

These CPU AI decision making updates apply to both Competitive and Authentic Gameplay. As a reminder, the term CPU AI here is referring to the virtual user controlling the team you’re playing against in offline matches.

Gameplay

Defending

  • [Competitive Gameplay] Increased aggressiveness of man marking that only applies to the defensive side’s AI players around kick-off.
  • Slightly increased Sprint Jockey speed for user controlled players.
  • Moderately increased Jockey and Sprint Jockey responsiveness for user controlled players.
  • When taking the ball from the attacker without tackling, the attacker could have sometimes incorrectly won the ball back.
  • Blocking a pass could have sometimes resulted in the passer unintentionally getting the ball back.
  • Improved animation selection for Standing Tackles.
  • Increased amount of players that stay back to defend when taking corners.
  • Sometimes, a requested tackle could result in two tackle attempts.
  • Addressed instances of tackles from behind incorrectly winning the ball.
  • Addressed cases of tackle animations ending too early.

Passing

  • Ground and Lofted Through Passes are now more respectful of your aim input and are less assisted.
  • Ground Through Passes were sometimes not being hit to the intended receiver.
  • Ground Through Passes were not leading enough at times.
  • Lobbed Through Passes could have been affected by weather conditions even if there weren’t any in Authentic gameplay.
  • First time Through Pass requests could have sometimes resulted in the player trapping the ball instead of passing it.
  • Requested low crosses could have sometimes resulted in regular crosses being performed.
  • In some cases, a requested clearance took too long to be performed.
  • Improved responsiveness of first time passes when the ball is coming towards the passer at medium height.
  • When requesting a pass near the touchline, players could have incorrectly taken the ball out of play.
  • Sometimes, a requested headed pass would not occur.
  • Lowered headed lobbed through pass and cross accuracy.
  • Improved instances of Animation Start Pass Receiver Lock Setting not functioning as intended.
  • Addressed instances of passing animations playing out incorrectly.
  • Pass requests were sometimes ignored by the CPU AI during goal kicks.
  • Addressed cases of attacking passing headers applying too much power and speed to the ball.

Movement And Positioning

  • Moderately reduced speed of Controlled Sprint Dribble.
  • When attempting a Controlled Sprint Dribble, sometimes the player could have lost track of the ball.
  • Directed runs can now be triggered during Controlled Sprint Dribble.
  • Improved AI teammate attacking run logic when assessing potential offside runs.
  • Improved AI teammate attacking run logic to avoid clashing with teammates.
  • During corners, players on the post could have been incorrectly positioned inside their own goal.
  • Attackers could have sometimes ended their runs unexpectedly.
  • Addressed cases of AI teammates standing behind defenders instead of looking for open space.
  • Addressed cases of AI players unintentionally stumbling after colliding with each other.
  • In some cases, a player could have incorrectly slowed down when attempting to avoid a slide tackle.

Goalkeeping

  • Improved goalkeeper logic during corner kicks to address situations where players could too easily score from short corners that resulted in far post crosses.
  • Improved goalkeeper reactions to near post shots.
  • Improved cases of goalkeepers incorrectly deflecting shots back to attackers.
  • Improved goalkeeper punches to be stronger and have more consistent ball trajectories.
  • Addressed instances of goalkeepers incorrectly deflecting shots into their own net.
  • Goalkeepers would sometimes not react to shots while being manually moved.
  • On occasion, goalkeepers could have automatically and ineffectively rushed out of the box in situations that did not need it.
  • Addressed instances of goalkeeper arms clipping through their body.

Dribbling And Skill Moves

  • Players are now better at maintaining their movement speed when trapping the ball.
  • Improved ball trapping consistency.
  • Improved cases of air ball traps resulting in the ball going too far away from the player.
  • Removed fancy ball traps for players without Trickster PlayStyles.
  • Requested Skill Moves were sometimes not performed.
  • In some cases, a Ball Roll could have occurred instead of the requested Croquetta Skill Move.
  • When attempting a first time fake shot, sometimes the player could lose track of the ball.
  • The exit direction of a first time fake shot did not always correctly follow user input.
  • An unintentional Player Switch could have occurred in cases where a Skill Move raised the ball.
  • Requesting a Flick Up could have sometimes resulted in two flicks.

Other Gameplay Updates And Issues Addressed

  • Increased frequency of attacking and shooting by the CPU AI team in the Be A Goalkeeper experience.
  • In Player Career on Professional difficulty and above, the CPU AI will focus more on buildup and team play.
  • Increased strength of Stamina-related effects in Authentic gameplay.
  • Increased frequency of fouls committed by the CPU AI.
  • Improved referee logic when making standing tackle and sliding tackle foul calls.
  • Sometimes the referee could have incorrectly called for a penalty kick despite the fouled attacker scoring a goal inside the box.
  • Sometimes, the Player Switch to the ball receiver would not occur when using the Air Balls and Manual Player Switch settings.
  • In some cases, players could have become stuck in a Shielding state.
  • Players could have sometimes unnaturally jumped up too high when going for headers.
  • Players could have sometimes been pushed too far when engaging in physical contact.
  • Shielding players were able to sustain maximum shielding ability for longer than intended.
  • Sometimes, a shot could have incorrectly occurred when requesting a tackle.
  • Push back animations could have occurred at incorrect times.
  • After a headed pass, the player switch to the ball receiver did not always occur.
  • Addressed cases of an interception resulting in the ball winning player losing track of the ball.
  • In loose ball situations, sometimes players could not perform a requested shot.
  • Improved cases of late shot modifier inputs not registering.
  • Tactical suggestions were incorrectly appearing at the same time in every match.

Ultimate Team

Added the following features:

  • Added functionality to sort SBCs by Newest and by Expiry Date.
    • This change will be activated through a Server Release shortly after the Title Update.
  • Added the ability to preview Evolution challenge requirements and player eligibility criteria before owning the corresponding EVO.
    • This change will be activated through a Server Release shortly after the Title Update.
  • Added the ability to favourite and track Objectives and Objective Groups.
    • The favourited Objectives, along with Evolutions and Rivals Bounties will appear in the Pause Menu for easier in-match tracking, as well its own tab in the UT menu.
    • Gameplay notifications for completed Objectives can be controlled through Game Settings.
    • This change will be activated through a Server Release shortly after the Title Update.

Addressed the following issues:

  • In certain situations, a substituted player’s model would not load after being subbed on.
  • The End of Match screen would not show the additional Rivals Points earned from a win streak, this was a visual only issue.
  • In certain rare situations, EA connect could have unintentionally opened during gameplay.
  • The first owner UI indicator could have incorrectly shown on all Player Items in the pre-match intro.
  • When modifying Squad Tactics, Squad Assignments did not save when entering a match.
  • Objectives in a group could have been sorted in reverse order.
  • In certain situations, when bidding on an Item on the Transfer Market, the Bid Price could not have been changed from 99 UT Coins.
  • When using the Squad Builder some formations could have shown incorrect Player Roles for some positions.
  • When Champions qualification was achieved, the corresponding pop up message appeared after every match.
  • The yellow card UI overlay incorrectly displayed player portraits instead of Player Items.
  • The Home dropdown menu could have become inaccessible.
  • Players who have been substituted on could show as out of position for their role in the corresponding overlay.
  • Improved the color contrast and readability of upgrade indicators for Evolution Previews.
  • Elite Division Tier 1 Rewards were incorrectly displayed when viewing the current Rivals Weekly Reward in the Division Rivals Hub.
  • [Nintendo Switch Only] On rare occasions, characters from the half time cinematic could have remained on the pitch.
  • In certain situations, an error could have occurred when searching for Serie B Items in your Club or on the Transfer Market.
  • The Objectives tab was not showing up in Ultimate Team quick navigation at certain times.
  • The For You UI did not always display and function correctly.
  • Formations could`ve been incorrectly displayed in the pre-match intro of a Squad Battles match.
  • After claiming multiple rewards in the FC Hub, redeeming and exiting to the previous screen could have resulted in the screen not loading correctly.
  • Formations with more than 3 rows of players did not always display correctly during match intros.
  • After previewing Division 9 Rivals rewards, Rivals progression could disappear from the UI, this was a visual issue only.
  • When canceling on the apply formation screen, the name of the formation would no longer be visible.
  • Some Attribute numbers that were modified by Chemistry boosts were misaligned in the Player Bio UI.
  • After opening a Pack, the discard value of the first Item did not always display.
  • If a player left a Co-Op lobby in Live Events before a match was started, an error was received instead of returning to the lobby.
  • The Transfer Market tile did not update the Transfer Target winning count correctly.
  • Some Objective Group Reward previews were missing for Milestones Objectives.

Gameplay

Made the following updates:

  • Addressed cases of players not being able to perform Physical Tackles, especially instances that occurred when the player had specific PlayStyles (eg. Bruiser).

  • [Authentic Gameplay Only] Reverted the kick off defensive positioning change made in v1.0.2.

    • Competitive gameplay is unchanged.

  • Addressed instances of Finesse Shots curling opposite of their intended direction.

  • In some cases, a Trivela Shot could have occurred instead of the requested Finesse Shot.

  • Players could have sometimes pulled out of blocking animations too early (eg. a player sticking their leg out to block a shot).

  • Improved the Be A Goalkeeper experience:

    • Increased responsiveness of saves.

    • Addressed instances of the goalkeeper not facing the ball when getting up from a save.

  • Tuned Low Driven Shots based on your feedback in the Closed Beta to be less accurate when shooting with an extreme amount of power.
  • As part of our AI attacking updates based on your feedback, made the following changes:
  • Increased frequency of wingers making attacking runs into the box.
  • Wing Backs will no longer drop too deep in their own half when their team is in possession.
  • Improved teammate offside awareness.
  • Addressed instances of players not making runs into open space when it could be beneficial.
  • Improved positioning of players when playing with low defensive depth so that they’re not pushing too high up the pitch.
  • Center Backs are now less likely to run wide when marking central attackers.
  • False Backs now transition more intelligently to defense to better maintain defensive shape.
  • Updated the Be A Goalkeeper UI:
    • A goalkeeper dive indicator now displays where an incoming shot is coming from.
  • Changed the Camera Pan input based on your feedback and to avoid button conflicts.
  • As shared on the EASFC Tracker, we’re continuing to work on Be A Goalkeeper updates to improve the gameplay experience. We’ll share more details in the near future.
  • Improved cases of unexpected heavy touches when sprinting in wet weather Authentic gameplay based on your feedback.
  • Improved instances of Ground Passes unexpectedly falling behind the intended receiver.
  • Tuned difficult to perform Driven Ground Passes to be less accurate, for example, first time Driven Ground Passes taken at 180 degrees.
  • Addressed incorrect shooting animations that sometimes occurred when attempting lace shots, resulting in unexpected behavior.

Ultimate Team

Addressed the following issues:

  • Players weren’t always able to enter multiplayer gameplay after accepting a Co-Op invite.
  • Player Item portraits were sometimes misaligned on the Squad screen.
  • A stability issue could have occurred after completing the Onboarding and viewing your Squad for the first time.

Career Mode

  • Players could’ve incorrectly left your club when simming through the calendar.

How to download updates for EA SPORTS FC 26 on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2?

To download the updates for EA SPORTS FC 26, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
