Daily Briefs (Aug. 15): Timesplitters / Little Dragons Café

Today’s Daily Briefs: Timesplitters and Second Sight rights acquired by THQ Nordic / Koch Media, but also…

  • Little Dragons Café
  • Yomawari: The Long Night Collection
  • My Hero One’s Justice
  • Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth

Timesplitters + Second Sight

Earlier today, it was announced that THQ Nordic had acquired the rights to the Timesplitters series, via its subsidiary Koch Media. The company got the rights not just to the existing games, but also of the IP itself, which means they’re perfectly free to make new ones if they want to (which is something they definitely intend to do: that’s why they bought the rights in the first place).

Also, it’s been announced that THQ Nordic (again via its subsidiary Koch Media) has acquired the rights to Second Sight, a science fiction action/adventure game developed by Free Radical.

Details about future Timespliters and Second Sight games will be shared at a later date. Given THQ Nordic’s track record, we can definitely expect some remasters to pop up sooner rather than later! Any new game will be produced by Deep Silver, Koch Media’s publishing arm.
