Pokémon GO

Yesterday, Niantic announced that the new Community Day for Pokémon GO will take place on September 22nd, at the usual time. This time, you will be able to catch a special Chikorita, though we don’t know what its special move will be. During the event, the usual bonuses will run: 3x EXP for Captures and 3 Hour Lure Modules this time around.

But that’s not all! The Community Days for October and November have already been dated:

  • October 21st
  • November 10th

Also, last week, Niantic uploaded a video about the Pokémon GO Fest, which was held last month in Chicago:

Pokémon Duel

Tomorrow, Pokémon Duel will receive a new Software update. It will bring the game to Ver. 6.2.0, and will make some rather major changes. The first one impacts Mega Evolution: when adding such Pokémon to your deck, the Mega Evolution plate for them will automatically be set at the start of the duel (in other words: it does not count towards the plate cost anymore, and you can have as many as you want in your deck). There’s one exception to this, however: the Meteoric Teachings plate for Mega Rayquaza.

Here’s various balance fixes coming to the game:

Mega Venusaur

  • Cruel Blossom: Incursion effect now excludes a Pokémon for 7 turns
  • Solar Beam: damage increased from 130 to 150
