Spain: latest video games sales data (Splatoon 2, Hey! Pikmin, Zelda: Breath of the Wil)

In its latest issue, Hobby Consolas shares the latest sales data for the video game market in Spain. There’s some pretty good stuff this time, as the period covered includes July, which had quite a few Nintendo releases: Splatoon 2, Hey! Pikmin, and more.

First, Splatoon 2: it’s off to a great start, with 28 564 units sold as of Week 31 (August 6th). In comparison, the original sold 68 662 units LTD, which means that the sequel sold almost 1/3 of the LTD sales of the original in just a couple of weeks. This goes to show just how much healthier of a platform the Nintendo Switch is!

Miitopia is also off to a good start, with 10 025 units sold during the first week. Unfortunately, Hobby Consolas does not provide any data for Tomodachi Life, to use as comparison… Hey! Pikmin had a much more modest debut, with 2 112 units sold within the first week. Finally, Dr Kawashima’s Devilish Brain Training: Can you stay focused? didn’t really set the charts on fire, with only 651 units sold.

As for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, both versions combined have sold over 100 000 units: 109 182 units to be precise. Naturally, the best-seller is the Nintendo Switch version, with 83 760 units sold. The Wii U also enjoyed some pretty good sales with 25 422 units sold so far.
