Nintendo: updated launch schedule (July 2017)

As usual, Nintendo revealed its updated planning for upcoming Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS titles today, along with its financial results for Q1 2017-18.

Unfortunately, this is a document for investors, who can check out how many games are coming out for each platform. It’s not a list for consumers or even the press, with exact dates or anything. Therefore, do not expect to find many new release dates in the charts below.

The lists below do not have anything really new first party-wise, and all the dates were previously announced at E3 2017 or in the weeks that followed.

The only “new” tidbit is Pokémon RPG for the Nintendo Switch, which is listed as “2018 or later”… which is in fact just a different wording than the one used by Tsunekazu Ishihara at E3 2017 (who simply said the game wouldn’t be released for at least a year, implying June 2018 at the earliest… and a possible 2019 release too. That’s how vague he was!).

Unfortunately, there’s no third-party title listed this time!

NB: since the planning is for the current Fiscal Year (April 1st to March 31st), it includes already released titles (such as Splatoon 2 for example). And as always, keep this mind those lists are not exhaustive (they’re actually missing quite a few games and/or dates).
