Splatoon: new map to be added in a few hours (Flounder Heights)
When Nintendo detailed the first major Software update for Splatoon, in July, they made it pretty clear that new content (maps and weapons) for Splatoon would still be added to the game on a regular basis. The point is obviously to keep players interested, so that they keep on playing without getting bored with the same weapons and maps.
And the upcoming days going to be pretty busy for Splatoon:
- the 4th Japanese Splatfest starts on Saturday
- the Testfire demo gets new play sessions this week-end and next week
- the 4th North American Splatfest will take place next week
- a new map will be added in a few hours!
Usually, new content (maps, weapons) are added on either Wednesday or Saturday, but this time around, the “update” will take place on Friday morning (Thursday evening in North America) instead! In just a few hours, players will be able to discover a brand new map called “Flounder Heights”, based on Danchi (Japanese public apartments).
Here’s some pictures for this map:
This new map will be added tomorrow at:
– Europe: 4AM
– UK: 3AM
– North America (EDT): 10PM (August 20th)
– North America (PDT): 7PM (August 20th)
– Japan: 11AM
