Splatoon: results of the fourth Splatfest in Japan (Grasshopper vs Ant)

The fourth Splatfest for Japan ended a few hours ago, and we now have the results… Team Grasshopper won!

Splatfest are special 24 hour long events that take place regularly in Splatoon. During those, players have to answer a question (like “Do you prefer cats or dogs?”), before joining a team depending on their answer. At the end of each Splatfest, the team with the most points win, based on popularity and number of battles won.

Today, the Squid Research Lab announced that the fourth Splatfest would take place on August 22nd and August 23rd in Japan. And this time around, the theme is rather neat: players have to chose between the Grasshopper and the Ant. This is obviously a reference to “The Ant and the Grasshopper,” one of Aesop’s Fables.

In other words, the theme of this fourth Japanese Splatfest could be worded that way: are the you kind of student who spends all his/her (summer) vacations playing and having fun (neglecting your homework), or are you the kind of person who makes sure to do his/her homeworks every day instead of leaving it for the last day of vacations? It doesn’t matter if you’re not a student anymore: think back to when you were one!

This Splatfest will take place on:

– Japan: August 22nd (12PM) to August 23rd (12PM)
– Europe: August 22nd (5AM) to August 23rd (5AM)
– UK: August 22nd (4AM) to August 23rd (4AM)
– North America (EDT): August 21st (10PM) to August 22nd (10PM)
– North America (PDT): August 21st (7PM) to August 22nd (7PM)

As usual, this Splatfest is only for players with a Japanese copy of Splatoon. The fourth European and North America Splatfest will most likely take place on August 29th/30th!
