Spain: some sales data (Zelda: Breath of the Wild, other Nintendo games, more)
We rarely get actual sales data for countries other than Japan, so when we do get some, it’s definitely something worth writing a post for! In its latest issue, Hobby Consolas provides some sales data for various games (more precisely: the best-seller of the past month) in Spain, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Thanks to those sales data, we can find out that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been pretty successful, with 46 000 units sold, which is more than any other title. If we add the Wii U version, then the latest entry in the Legend of Zelda series has already sold over 63 000 units in Spain. In comparison, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD sold a total of 17 100 units as of Week 10, 2017!
On Nintendo Switch, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was a lot more popular than 1-2-Switch, which sold only 9 300 units. As for Super Bomberman R, it had a pretty timid debut, with 2 200 units sold. That’s still more than Just Dance 2017 and Skylanders Imaginators, that sold 1 600 units and 525 units respectively.
Just Dance may not be the powerhouse it was back in the Wii days, but the game is still selling a pretty decent amount (especially on Wii, by far the best-selling version):
- Wii: 88 000 units
- Wii U: 21 000 units
As for Super Mario Maker, the Nintendo 3DS version is about to outsell the Wii U version: the former is at 60 200 units sold, while the latter is at 60 700 units sold.
