RPG Maker Fes: first details and screenshots, release date
Earlier this week, we learned from Famitsu that the RPG Maker series was headed to the Nintendo DS, with RPG Maker Fes. Today, the game has been formally announced, which means we have proper details, and some screenshots, now!
As mentioned the other day, RPG Maker Fes allows you to easily create your very own RPG, even if you don’t have any knowledge about game development. In fact, the game will come with quite a lot of preset content and elements, so that you can start creating right away. Also, it looks like you will be able to edit the size of buildings.
With RPG Maker, you will be able to easily create the elements required for any RPG: enemies, the map, and of course story events. The interface was modified and steamlined, and is now pretty easy to use.
And the good news is, players don’t even need to buy RPG Maker Fes to be able to play the games created by friends or other users. Kadokawa will release Tsukuru Player, or Maker Player, which allows you to play levels created by other users. It will be available for free from the Nintendo eShop.
RPG Maker Fes will be released on November 24th in Japan, and will also be available at retail (this is not a Nintendo eShop-only release). Here’s some screenshots:
